Congrats on the surgery date. I have my surgery tomorrow, the 1st. I am very excited!!!! Yes I went through the eating everything in site phase. Probably natural......at least I hope so! Actually, once the cleansing was finished (about day 4) the pre-op diet has not been that bad. The only time I am really hungry is first thing in the morning. You will be in my thoughts, good luck and again, Congratulations!!!!!! Dee

Topic: Second time around....date July 25, 2008

I am so glad to have found this site, It has really helped me keep a clear head regarding my upcoming surgery. Yes as the title states this is the second time around for me. On Jaunuary 25, 2008 I went into the hospital to have my surgery, due to an infection H-polyri the doctor was unable to complete the procedure (YES I WAS CUT OPEN). I was very shock to hear that after everything I went thru the surgery was not completed, but I was glad to hear my doctor say " We can get thru this, and we will try again, we just need a little time"....well guess what the time is HERE it will be actually 6mths to the day of the first surgery. Honestly I am a little nervous.. but I know this is something I have to do!

I'm approved and having surgery on the 18th w/ Dr. Geiss!!! Anyone else going around then?? I'm soooo nervous about the pre-op diet!! I wanna make sure I do everything right!!!

Topic: Surgery date July 27th!!

My surgery is set for July 27th with Dr. Mark Kligman in Baltimore. I'm very excited but at the same time very nervous. I also seem to be hungrier then usual. Haven't started the pre-op diet yet, Dr. K has us do that 2 wks out, so now i feel like i want to eat everthing in sight .....cause i wont be able to soon,(hungry or not!) has anyone else gone through this? because i feel like a total idiot. Can't wait for the pre-op to start, even though i know i'll be hungry at least i'll have some limits.

Everything will be fine. It's natural to be scared, but please think positive. I am scheduled for surgery July 25th. These will be my second attempt, I had surgery On January 25th of this year YES! you read right, my surgeon wasn't able to complete the surgery I had a infection in the linning of my stomach, can you imagine how I felt when I was told by my family, and the doctor that he wasnt able to complete, my surgery....it's been a long six month wait, but July 25, is around the corner, and I feel the same as I did on January 25th READY TO BEGIN A NEW AND HEALTHY WAY OF LIFE! You will be fine
