Why are you afraid? Are you having issues? I had no problem at all but most of the doctors give you a "leak" test the day after surgery and you have a drain that shows if anything abnormal leaks out. Don't be afraid, just know its a concern and do exactly what they tell you to do. My major fear was blood clots so when they told me to haul my happy self up and walk I took off. I walked everywhere - at first dragging the IV pole beside me then later on my own. I totally get that some things freak you out!

Wishing you a speedy recovery - I too have sleep apnea - have been using my CPAP for almost 2 years. Did you try different masks? I couldn't stand anything in my nose so I went with one that goes over my nose, but not over my mouth. I am so used to it now that it's very normal to me. I'll keep you in my prayers. What time is your surgery? Mine is @ 8:00am. Will be looking forward to hearing from you letting me know that all went well. I'll do the same. I don't think God would have lead me here if this wasn't what I am supposed to do - I've put it in his hands and the medical people as well. Jackie

Hello everyone I just wanted to check in and let everyone know I had mysurgery on the 25th of June,and everything went well and I'm doing great. I have 4 days before my first post op appointment. Today is the hardest day of it all because it's cookouts all around on my street and I'm still dealing with the liquid stage. I'll be glad when this weekend is over. Well I'll drop back in later and let everyone know how everything is going. I hope everybody that had recent surgeries are doing well also.

MINE IS TUESDAY ALSO and i feel your plan i just fall off the wagan because of the 4th weekend yesterday was my last day at work, but im here now for a few hours while no on is here to file my last report, anyway i wanted a bk milk shake and now my tummy is killing me. sweets what are then i lost that taste awhile back. we need to stick together and support each other. HELP IM FALLING AND I CAN NOT GET UP

ok its getting closer and im freaking out!!! i fall off the edge today and got some onion rings from BK AND A mike shake now my tummy is doing flips. but i have to be strong for this weekend and 3 bbq i have to attend. I drinking my protent drink tubes like they are juice i mixed them with water to get them down. Monday is my clean out day so sunday morning i will start my liquid diet i take colon cleanser pills to to help. but I still need support as you can tell. HELP IM FALLING AND I CAN NOT GET UP

My surgery is the 8th also. I thought I was crazy! My craving for chicken is off the chart. No fried or smothered in gravy. Just plain old baked chicken. And get this! Without the skin. What's up with that. And my craving for sweet are also going away. That's wonderful. If you get a chance, tell me how are your handling the vitamins? Best wishes on Tuesday!
