That's great that everything went so well. I had mine on July 7th and came home on the 9th. I'm not doing too badly. It has taken awhile to get the gas to go away....and surprisingly, I am hungry. I never really expected that. So, I'm probably struggling most with what I can't eat. On the other hand, I'm perfectly happy when I drink the protein shakes, eat the broth etc... It really does taste good to me.
Topic: words of advice...please.
Hi and hope you are well and happy! My date is July 17th and I am looking for words of advice to a pre-op. Anything you can tell me that will help will be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for a support group in Syracuse, NY. Does anyone go or has gone to Arnot for their surgery? How long was your stay etc. Thanks and I love each and everyone on this site! Janice

Hi Dawn,
I had mine done on the 1st. smells didn't bother really at all. Every once in while now. Like popcorn....forbade my husband to make it my presence! Keep the faith, I am so very, very glad I had this done!

I had mine done on the 1st. I was also very sore. Feeling like a million bucks now though. keep the faith! I walk in my house and that helped. Am now out walking every morning! It will get better!

Thats right Flying out to San Diego from Louisiana July 16th 2008!!!! have to be in New Orleans @ 400 am ugh..flight @ 530 am..but thats ok the flight is 5 hrs but Cali is 2.5 hrs behind so technically I will gain 2 hrs! and arrive @ 845 am!I am so EXCITED!
I was first scheduled for July 18th with another so called DR....bajanor hospital??? Let me tell ya It DOES NOT EXSIST!!!! The 2 ppl you talk to on the phone when you call have both been arrested for insurance fraud and it has been an on going investigation ....I am so glad I looked more into it before I sent the money in paypal....
Thank GOD for Dedria Givens with OBESITY GOODBYE! she is great and Dr V is doing my surgery on a whim because he leaves for his personal vacation on JULY 18TH ...

Congratulations! Walk walk walk before hand and try to keep the last minute "I gotta have foods to a minimum". I wish you a pain free recovery.

What you're feeling was normal for me. I was nervous until I was actually in the hospital. Once I talked to the doctor I was fine. Just roll with it and walk when you're nervous, it'l help a little.

The same for me. It took a lot longer than originally told. But...I needed that much time to absorb all I needed to. In retrospect it was a good thing. I was prepared for what I had to go through.
