Hi Theresa, While I was lying there waiting to go into the operating room with an IV in my hand and a hospital gown on, I thought to myself "I can just get up now and walk out... I don't have to do this!" Half a minute later they knocked me out and I was on my way! I am six days post op and I feel so good. Not so good physically yet, but emotionally I feel awesome! I am finally doing something permenant about my weight! I have lost quite a few pounds in the last six days. I am so excited about finally losing and knowing that the chances of me keeping it off for good are awesome! I just can't wait until my boo boos heal and I can really kick this thing into high gear! One of the coolest things that has happened since surgery is that I get FULL on 1/2 a sugar free popsicle! Can you imagine that?!?!? I actually eat half and put the rest in a snack size ziploc for later. Good luck hon and I hope this helps. This ultimately is your decision and every person and surgery is different.

Hello to everyone on the July 2008 board who is still waiting for their surgery! HELLO! Well, about half of the July board has had their surgeries by now including me! I just wanted to tell everyone who still has the have surgery in July that it's not that bad. It's all well worth it. You will make it through fine! There will be some pain, but it will pass. There will probably be some gas and that too will pass. Get lots of rest! Follow your doctor's rules ! You may wonder why you have done this to yourself , you are not alone! When you don't know what to do, think, or feel remember that we are here for you! The people that came before you are here to support you and be your angel. Good luck!
