Topic: RE: don't go to Pondarosa
Can I say wow??!!... did somebody go off on a tangent or maybe a rant?!!!
It wasn't that deep. The poster simply stated they were upset about not having the option to choose from the kids menus and will choose not to go back there.
The poster put it out there so others might not have that same experience.
Someone needs to please get over themselves quickly..

Bit harsh don't you think?
Your examples are just circular reasoning.
Your standards for 'deserve' must be very
high. Either youth or lack of life experience
would explain that.

Yes your band could have slipped or you could have adhesions and this situation has to be addressed. You need to get this checked ASAP and if need be you may need to check and see if you can find another surgeon. Unfortunately you may need to have a revision or the band removed which can be a very tricky undertaking. Good luck and let me know how you are doing, but don't panic you may need to see your PCP who can direct you further or possibly get some tests done to determine what is happening.
Please let me know what happens

Topic: RE: CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN WHAT CLINICALS MEAN?
Although I did not go through my insurance I paid cash for my surgery as a medical billing person yes I have heard of this. Basically they want medical documentation showing that you have previously been treated for conditions related to your obesity and documentation to show that you have tried other things in order to lose weight and keep it off. It would help if you can get your PCP and any other health care provider that you have seen in the past to write letters of medical necessity. I had letter from my PCP, cardiologist, endocrinologist as well as several others but because my benefit for WLS is so bad I decided to pay for it myself.
Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way I may have some tricks of the trade if needed.

Was it your request or a Doctors? Almost all Insurances require some proof that you have had a weight history of obesity, normally 5 years of doctors weight reports, you know almost all the time when you go to the doctor they normal weigh you even if it is for a sore throat, and/or proof showing your weight and attempted weightloss, like weigh****chers, Jenney craig, tops, South Beach. Sleep studies, showing if your weight is causing issues like sleep apneia, Cardiolgyst report, ultra sounds, and all kinds of good stuff.

There should be a doctor filling in for yours. If you are in that much pain I would either go to the doctors office and make a scene until they help you or go to ER again and tell them you are in excruciating pain and need to be admitted.
Don't wait - you know your body better than anyone else and it sounds like something serious to me. Be assertive and stand up for yourself.
Hope you get relief today,

Topic: RE: I just got scared.
Well I am 35 and I just had surgery July 15th. I had just been diagnosed as diabetic, I had highblood pressure, PCOS and thyroid problems. Surgery went great and I was scared I almost chickened out but now I am so glad to have done it and be on the losing side now.

Topic: RE: LAP BAND OR GB
I like you had a hard time deciding about surgeries. I looked into lap band, RN-Y and VSG. After much decision making I knew I didn't want the Bypass, and then I found out about the VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy). While this procedure is not reversible it is wonderful. I do not have any foreign objects in my body and do not have to have fills every few weeks/months. THe VSG is totally a restrictive procedure and does not have the complications that a Bypass or Lap Band can have. Basically they remove 3/4 of the stomach and you have a small banana shaped stomach once they are done. If this is not an option for you I would probably do the bypass. I am kinda a one stop shopping gal and would not like to have to go in on a regular basis to have fills plus the chance that the band could rupture, slip or have to be removed due to scar tissue really made me think twice.
Good luck in whatever you decide I have lost 125lbs since 2/20/08.
