Topic: 2 weeks out from surgery
Hi. I haven't posted here before but appreciate the good support and advice that people provide.
I had my surgery 2 weeks ago yesterday. Everything seems to be going fine; pain is pretty mild at this point and I'm up and around as I should be.
I know it's probably time to go from the 2-week phase 2 diet to the 2-month phase 3. Any advice? Last night I had a 1/2 veggie burger w/some low-sugar baked beans. It settled with me fine, though I'm a bit nauseated this morning. Is the phase 2--phase 3 a gradual process or should I go completely to a "soft food" approach? What have people found to be easy on the system in phase 3?
I think the hardest for me has been getting enough protein everyday, maybe because the phase 2 options quickly became hard to even look at, let alone eat (well...drink)!. Suggestions for getting better at this?
Thanks!
Topic: Is Cyber Sex considered cheating?
If your spouse or significant other is participating in Cyber Sex, is it or isn't it considered cheating? I think it is on one hand and on the other hand it isn't. Because the person isn't physically real..meaning the act or acts are all in the imagination. I am confused on this one..help

Wow thanks Barbara! I'll let you know how it ends up!
I get the feeling his staff thinks that we are all uneducated losers just because we are overweight and treat us at such..

I don't blame you for looking for another clinic. I work for a doctor and we are not that way we always try to accomodate our patient's issues. I have worked in the medical field for 16 years and unfortunately some medical providers and their staff give you the impression that they are doing you a favor by agreeing to see you when in fact your visits and payments from insurance and copays keep money in their pockets and food on their table. I have seen doctors offices go bankrupt because of the staff and patient's taking their business and medical needs elsewhere. Good luck and let me know how you do. Can you believe that there were no bariatric surgeons on call? It was awful..I finally drove down to the minor ER thats close to my house. I was in and out in 45 minutes! with a prescription for a very powerful narcotic painkiller. they took my blood (to make sure my pancreas wasnt perforated) I'm keeping my appointment on the 7th. Hes a really good surgeon but his staff is just..awful..I'll talk to him and tell him my concerns and my feelings of "helplessness, panic, and abandonment" and after I see him and make sure I'm alright, then I think I will go to another clinic.

hi kris! Well your surgery was a couple days ago and i'm sure you are feeling differently already. i had a sleeve done exactly 7 days ago. i am feeling great and have not had pain meds for 5 days. i am not going to lie to you, there is still some discomfort in certain moves i make but it is manageable. also, my 3rd and 4th days out were emotional. i think i cried for a solid two days. be sure to have people lined up to keep your mind busy. have a friend take you to the movie, or rent some. read a book, scrapbook, have something planned in case you start feeling blue. i think my daughter has repainted my toenails 6 times already just to feel the spaces!!!
since my surg. i've lost 12 pounds without blinking. you will be fine. i will keep checking on you.
