Topic: RE: 9 days post op... ZERO ENERGY, TONS of soreness!
The first few weeks most folks feel like crudd. You'll have pain on the left side mostly as it heals. Really in about a month you'll start feeling "Normal" for what normal is for us. It takes awhile to get the antastia out of your system and to recoup from major surgery. Fluids is your primary goal and rest. Though you do need to try to do as much walking to heal and get out this surgery stuff out of your system. You can develope blood clots as you heal so keep moving also even though your tired. It gets better!

Topic: RE: My first post-surgery doctor visit...
I went out of state to have my surgery and they told me I was glued. I have lost 16lbs in less than a week. I miss not eating real food. I'm hoping this will pass soon.

Requesting a courtesy due at a business and being denied RUDELY is the issue in my opinion. I appreciate the warning of rude treatment whether it has ANYTHING in the world to do with my RNY or not. Rudeness of any kind (in any forum) just chaps my ass.

Topic: Exercise!
Ok--it will be three weeks tomorrow since surgery. I'm trying to walk 30 minutes per day most days, but some days I just don't feel like I have it in me.
When do people generally start exercising? What other kinds of exercise are people doing?

I lost 17 lbs the first week and have since gained back almost 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks. Doctor told me not to worry as everyone's body responds to weight loss in different ways. I am just waiting for my first fill that will hopefully help me get back on track.
Topic: RE: Just a repost reminder
Truthfully, I think my right side pain is mostly from the incision. The main incision is on the lower right, and when I sit for long periods of time (like in front of the computer....) it gets very sore. Tuesday is my post-op appt. so I'll ask about it then...to me, it just feels like normal post-op pain.
I hope you can get yours resolved!

I really don't know about the right side. The best thing would be to call your Doctor! Please call him if it gets worse.
