My hair started falling out a little after I reached my 3rd month post-op. Does anyone know how long this will last?? I am afraid I will go bald , but I would do the surgery again.

Thanks for posting, everyone. It's great to hear from people who are at the same place I am with this. I had my surgery on July 16 and I've lost 68 lbs--down to 221 I too am looking forward to ONEderland!
So far, I haven't had trouble eating anything--but I do fill up very quickly so I'm not eating much. I take that back--Bread does absolutely nothing for me so I'm staying away from it, HOWEVER....one of my favorite meals is about 1/2 cup of stove top stuffing with chopped up chicken in it. So that's where I'm getting my carbs! I'm also eating pasta once in awhile, but it's the carb-resistant kind, which is much better on my body in so many ways... But mostly my meals consist of protein shakes, chili, cheese, and an occasional frozen lunch, like Michelena's salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.
I had a minor set back in September when I got a bleeding ulcer and had to go back into the hospital for a few days. Now I'm just on about 20 MORE pills per day (okay--that's a bit of an exagerration) but everything is fine.
Even during that time, I never once regretted this decision. I'm feeling better, both physically and emotionally, and I'm loving fitting into sizes I haven't been able to wear in 20 years!
Keep up the good work, everyone, and stay in touch!
Thanks!

I started out drinking Myoplex chocolate shakes--they're really, really high in protein! I still have those once in awhile but they are pretty rich and filling. Now I'm into the EAS AdvantEDGE. 17 grams of protein per shake and not quite so heavy. I always prefer the chocolate--have tried vanilla and strawberry, but I guess I'm just a creature of habit!

Okay, that makes sense. I hope you begin to heal and start to feel better.
Thanks so much for the information.

I guess it's fairly common -- surgeon said "people heal differently" -- sometimes/in some people the opening between the pouch and the intestine closes (or almost) as it heals. I believe they said it's called an anastomatic stricture. Mine happened over time, nothing dramatic -- I kept thinking I must be doing something wrong -- eating too fast, not chewing enough, who-knows-what -- so finding out there's something wrong has been a relief. Especially since it's easily fixable. :-)
