I had my surgery at the end of July also. I go for my 4th visit (maybe my 4th fill) on Saturday. I have lost around 40 lbs. Make sure your eating your protien first. I notice that when I eat like soups or mushie foods I can eat like 3 or 4 cups! No kidding, but when I eat solid protien I can usually feel satisifed within a few bites. I think I have 5.4cc's is my 10cc band.
Make the band work for you! It does work......My surgeon likes to see me every month regarless if im losing, need a fill ect... I also meet with a nut at the same visit. Keep a food diary for the first 2 months and see if that helps. my doc says that I need to be under 60 carbs (40 for faster loss) and keep protien around 60-80 grams....they say that fat should be around 35 grams...but mine tends to be a lot higher becuase I eat a ton of cheese!

I browse through the WLS Grads Forum and get down thinking of the struggles that lay ahead. I was never this way before the surgery. I was always the person that was so positive. Always living in the moment and thankful for each day.
I worry myself to death about gaining the weight back and being the person I was before. Don't get me wrong I know my weight will always be something that I have to continually watch and the surgery is a tool.
WHY DO I WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED AND MAY NEVER HAPPEN TO ME???
I have to slow down and remember that I am doing well and have changed many of the bad habits that I had only 4 months ago. I try to get the bad thoughts out as soon as they enter my pea sized head, but sometimes it is hard.

I love this quote from Woody Allen...........
"I'm not afraid to die. I just don't want to be there when it happens".
Can you try and drink the water between your meals?
Do you work in an office? I started bringing in a Styrofoam cup with ice and filling it throughout the day to get my water in. It stays pretty cold in the Styrofoam and it is right in front of me all day. It is funny, now I crave my water. I carry a glass of water everywhere I go. I did invest in some Styrofoam cups to keep it nice and cold.
Remember, I am definitely not a doctor or not judging in anyway. I have made my mistakes along the way and the people on this website have given me advice that I have taken and some that I have not. Not skipping meals was some advice I took along the way.
Good luck and let's keep posting!

It seems that you are doing really good. I have been trying to get an idea of what others are eating as well. I don't know if I'm eating enough or the right things. Today I had
B: Water and protein drink
L: Water
D: Salad with grilled chicken and fat free dressing
S: Water..
I'm trying to get all of my 64 oz of water in a day. This is the hardest thing for me so thats why i didn't eat Lunch.
I am 4 months post op and since day one have been nausiated ever since. I have talked to both my surgeon and the nutritionist and we have tried to change my diet around by introducing/taking out certain items, changing the times when I eat, eating my lunch as breakfast etc... Nothing seems to work though.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem and what is helping (besides keeping a bottle of Pepto nearby)?
Thanks.
I usually get it at Wal-mart but I am sure you could find it anywhere.
