We share the same date too! I had the option of July 3rd,on my brothers birthday.. But didnt want to be selfish and have the fam at the hospital on the 3rd and the 4th of July instead of out celebrating/bbq/fireworks... So the 7th is the date. Have fun in the smokeys!

I FINALLY HAVE MY DATE AND IT IS MONDAY JULY 7, 2008 @ 1PM. I AM EXCITED AND NERVOUS...MORE EXCITED BECAUSE I AM READY TO BREAK OUT OF THIS HEAVY SHELL, AND BE HEALTHY.

I am so excited. I am going to do lots of "firsts" in July. It will be my first plane ride, my first trip to Mexico, and my first WLS. I am going to see Dr. Roberto Rumbaut to have Lap-Band. I am a little nervous about not being able to speak Spanish though. But, I was assured that all the doctors speak English, although the nurses may not... My mother is going with me. We are trying to find the cheapest air fares right now. The plane ticket is going to be at least $700! I am going to Mexico because it is so much cheaper down there than here. Every time I tell someone that I am going to Mexico to have the surgery they get all scared. I have to tell them that I have done lots and lots of research on Dr. Rumbaut and the hospital. Everyone is telling me about hearing horror stories of having surgeries abroad. I am going to Monterrey, which is a lot like an American city. This is my first post and I don't have any friends on here yet, so I would like to talk with you guys!

I am so happy just can't believe it . after fighting with Cigna for 6 mos we have a date. please keep me in your prayers till I make it thru this journey that I have been on for a year now.
