HELP PLEASE!!!!

It was october of 2005 when i had the lap band surgery..I have lost about 100 lbs..I lost most of this in the first 6 months, then slowed way down to losing about a half a pound a week..I am now at a plateau that has lasted over a year..I am just staying the same..The problem with this is that i was almost 400 lbs when i had surgery so therefore i am still almost 300 lbs.. I want to lose soo much more but need some help!!! I feel i am tight but the weight just isnt coming off!!!Anyone have any suggestions??? Please help, maybe some new eating ideas??????Lost here!!!

Have you tried the lap band forum for idea's. Have you talked to your Doctor about tighting it again? I assume your following all the rules? Do you logg your food journal to see what your protein, cab and calorie consumption is per day and how much exercise you are getting to offset it. Lastly Have you thought about a revision. I could be very wrong but I thought they didn't like to do lap band but on "light weights" due to studies saying the weight loss ratio wasn't as high as compare to gastric by pass or the sleeve. I really don't know what to tell you but I would go to the Lap Band forum or the graduates board to see what they have to say. Good Luck and call your Doctor too!

I would try calling your surgeons office to see if you may need another fill or if your band has slipped. Although originally I was going to have the Lap I decided on the Sleeve and have gone from 415 to 298 since 2/20/08. I do however watch my carbs very closely. I try very hard to eat my protein then veggies and if I have room a carb. I know that the Lap band is a slower weight loss than the other surgeries, and as with all of them their is a time that you will plateau and once you get over that hump it will start again.
