Surgery date rescheduled

I can't believe this is happening. Tomorrow was supposed to be my big day. I've been on my liquid diet for a week getting all psyched for this and then the surgeon's office calls me yesterday to tell me there was a scheduling mixup and the doctor will out of town. I'm so upset! Now it's on the 28th. I had everything arranged with my family to be taken care of and now this interfers with my job. A lot of planning went into being ready for tomorrow. I'm just so blown away by all this. And to have to start over on the liquid diet-UGGHH!

I am so sorry...I would be so devastated. I can't even imagine how upset you must be. All the preparation and to do another two week liquid diet...ugh. I would suggest doing something extremely nice for yourself today.

i do understand beth it happened to me 3 times from feb to finally i did it on 7-8-08 and i wasnt even sure if i was ready 3 day before i ate everything i wanted until 3 days before just in case they called again. so start rescheduling your appts and family now and get back to work before they use those day against you. just know you have 2 extra weeks to clean your tummy.

How did you keep your sanity after 3 postponement? That must have been an incredibly stressful roller coaster of emotions. I told my boss about the change in plans so she sent me off on another business trip right away. I guess that's better than sitting around feeling sorry for myself. How are things going for you since surgery? Did you have any problems after eating solids 3 days before surgery? I WOULD LOVE PIZZA right now.

I don't blame you for being mad. I'm scheduled for 7/28 and would be looking to kick some behinds if that date gets delayed. Keep your chin up sister!

I'm sorry that happened to you. my sx is 7/29 and i am so afraid it will be cancelled and that would not be good. i am flying a family member here to look after my daughter while i am in the hospital and to help out. Plus if i am doing this 2 week liquid diet for nothing (well it would be nice to eat something!)
