pre-op testing

hi. my surgery date is 7/14/08. my pretesting is tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone who has recently done their testing could give me an idea of how long you were there and what to expect. i am having surgery at memorial hospital in worcester mass. thanks for any advice.

I had the following: 30 minutes upper GI x-ray 10 minutes ekg 5 minutes chest x-ray 5 minutes bloodwork ---jan---

the only thing you should have to take 3 days before is blood work take your B1 B12 AND IRON PILLs. drink your water and eat off the saucer and not a plate

Hello! You may already be at your pre-op, but if not, here's what I had to doL My surgery date is 7-14 as well and I had my pre-op on 7/1. I was there for about 4 hours. I had a chest x-ray, ultrasound, blood work, urinalysis, and then I met with a respiratory therapist (they help teach you how to breathe more effectively after surgery), and also had my first nutrition class. Finally I met with my doctor. So it was really a lot of test and information in that 4 hours.
