anyone close to virginia beach?

Hello, I am looking for a dr in virginia beach area I do not want to see dr Fontana or anyone in his group, is there any one in the area that has had luck with another dr around here???

hello I am in Virginia Beach/Cheapeake area... My doctor is in Chesapeake he is the bomb, Dr Eric Yancey. I know 9 people personally that has had the surgery (sad to say) but its true several people at my place of work. PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH.

hey that is wonderful news! I appreciate your info, how long ago was a operation that u knew he had? I have had the worst luck with the dr fontana- went to the semini and was told i needed to pay a 500 program fee- ok - thats a lot- but I will pay it- then they called and told me it was three months JUST TO SEE THE DR! Also that after I see the dr- there is usually a 4 month time period before the actual op due to normal other meetings- I dont want to wait 7 months! I want to get it started I am so miserable! I hate being in my body, and knowing my ins will pay for it now makes me feel so impatient!!!

I only had to wait 25 days with Dr Yancey. you can have surgery within 2mths what insurance do you have, if you already know it's covered it will be quick

I have tricare standard. 25 days is wonderful!! Do you know about tricare standard and this dr? Dr Fontana's office was ready to do it -just a 7 month wait!! Crazy!!! Gosh, I feel so releived to hear from someone that knows something! THANK YOU!!!

my surgery date is July 25th this is my second attempt. six months ago I went in for surgey during the operation an infection was discovered in the linning of my stomach, Dr. Yancey had to back out. He assured me that he wanted to be safe, and also assured me he would do everything possible to get me in....true enough six months to the date I am going back in. Also have you contacted the Tidewater Surgical group in Suffolk ( know 2 people that has had surgery with them 1 as recent as May of this year). Also there is the Norfolk Surgical Group. only know of one person that use that group she is two years into her surgery doing great. Have lots of information I can share with you.

I went to the seminar for Norfolk Surgical group-they wanted 500 for a program fee, thats a lot of money for my fam- but I was willing to pay it, but they are the ones wanting to wait 3 months just to SEE the dr. 500 is a lot of money... I really dont understand the concept behind it. Dont know about your insurance call his office 757-420-5710 Anita is the office manager. Dr Yancey has a seminar in the office this is the beginning of the month try to get in it's once a month, then they get you set-up to begin what ever is needed for approval for surgery. He has a group that he deals with, at Chesapeake General. They are on the ball at this office
