my date is july 8th and im scared stupid
im so scared i have gained 7 lbs, and im one week away. my doctor said i have to lose atleast 5 of them my last day at work is july 3rd because of the holiday i will have my last 1/2 hot dog with no bun and 4 0z of soda on friday. and watch lifetime on tv until my count down. Monday is my clean out day ( get it) clean out !! lol and im scared if im going to be able to do this to the last minute. my husband does not support me and my oldest daughter either but my little one do and some co-workers. but i just say to my self ITS FOR ME!! for my health and i HAVE TO DO IT. HELP I NEED SUPPORT
I was scared too, but I had the support from my family and friends. You can lose the 5 lbs., I would go on a liquid diet from today until your clean out date. I know it sounds hard but it will work. I lost 25 lbs. in just 3 weeks, I drank Slim Fast low carb shakes, and sugar free jello and sugar free popcicles (can't spell), my surgery was 12-06-07 (7 months ago) and I have lost 104 lbs., you can go to myspace.com/tamsexybutterfly to see my pics. My date is july 7th. I am not yet scared. I haven't done the last meal thing. I don't really feel the urge to eat anything special before surgery. My Clean out day is on sunday. Got the preop on the 3rd. But we will do this together. You have all the support you need right here from those of us who've walked in your shoes for years. This is for us and we must do this for our own quality of life.
There are so many of us in the same boat. You will never be alone! This is for you and your family. My date is also the 8th and I must admit I'm getting a little scared. Not about the surgery but about being able to get all of the supplements down to stay healthy. I've been on the liquid diet for a week now (suppose to have been 2 weeks) and I just can't get all the vitamins in it seems. I had to tell myself to stop the "last meal" thing. For a week everytime I thought of something that I know I would not be able to have after surgery it become my last meal. We just have to do it! For our lives and the new clothes (lol). I have a friend that had her surgery 3 yrs ago. She is still a size 8-10 and tells me each time we talk it was the best thing she ever did for her life. Size 10-12 has to taste better than anything I put in my mouth, right? One piece of advise that she gave me. Do Not Drink Carbonated Drinks of any kind! Diet or regular. She said 2 or 3 of her friends had the surgery at the same time and re-introduce sodas to there diet. They have all gained back a minimum of 20lbs. Water is our friend. Best wishes to you. ok its getting closer and im freaking out!!! i fall off the edge today and got some onion rings from BK AND A mike shake now my tummy is doing flips. but i have to be strong for this weekend and 3 bbq i have to attend. I drinking my protent drink tubes like they are juice i mixed them with water to get them down. Monday is my clean out day so sunday morning i will start my liquid diet i take colon cleanser pills to to help. but I still need support as you can tell. HELP IM FALLING AND I CAN NOT GET UP
