I've been digging the 40/30/30 model myself. Thing is, I'm still getting in 850 calories a day, and am convinced it's not enough-- but when I ask the Nuts, they say, "You should be fine." I'm lacking in energy and finding it hard to fit in the good carbs I need (fruit, veggies) at this low calorie level.
Comparatively, my post op losses have been very slow-- but that's likely because I lost my initial big globs of weight pre-op, and I guess they don't come off twice. ;)
I'm generally satisfied, except this week-- Spring Break. Too much idle time, and feeling snacky. I'll be happy to get back to a more normal routine.

Thanks Heidi!
I'm getting in about 1000-1100 calories a day. I try to keep it as close to 40%/30%/30% (protein/carbs/fat) as I can.
Exercise, since surgery I've mostly been walking, but I have started a new workout DVD "kick boxing for dummies". I really like it! I'm also reading "weight training for dummies" and will start lifting weights before the end of the week. I kick myself for not liifting all along. My muscles aren't weak, but they aren't defined either. Though I have the horrible bat wings, I want to have defined bat wings! LOL!
And I had some great legs in high school from all my dance classes. I want those well defined legs back! And I want to see how tight I can get my ab muscles before I start doing plastics next spring.
I don't know if how I've been doing things is ideal for the average RNYer, but for me it seems to be working.
I think back on all my diets from the past and how doing Jenny Craig I was restricted to 1200 calories a day. I was starving ALL day long. It sucked. But the beauty of WLS, I'm rarely ever hungry and now I'm satisfied and full ALL day long. It is amazing!
Thanks again!
Andi
