Hi, Claudia! I am SCARED to drink any alcohol...and, I really enjoy a marguirita or a glass of wine! But, there is alcoholism in my family and I've been cautious anyway because we know it can run in families. I drink very little and rarely even get a buzz. But that's OK, because that's not what I'm looking for. I don't mean to sound judgemental, if I do. Also, someone close to me had WLS nearly 2 years ago and developed an addiction. She had lots of stuff going on in her life that wasn't pleasant and a family history of dependence but I really believe that she has this problem because of how quickly alcohol affected her after WLS. She has had a relapse and is at risk of loosing her kids, bf, job and home. We are trying to help as much as possible but alcohol dependence has a strong hold on her. I pray she can beat this monster. Sorry for going on so long..... Jean
Topic: OT: Today is my "Friday"!
G'Mornin', everyone! Just wanted to say hi! and hope you all are doing well. Today is my Friday because I get every other one off and I love that! I put in extra hours over the pay period, so I can take the day off and not have to take PTO. Plan to relax tomorrow and make invites to a neighborhood Halloween party me and my DH host each year. Actually, this is the 2nd annual...but who's counting! We love Halloween! Plus, my grandson and my sister both have Halloween bdays! So, does my best friend's daughter! After all these years (32 yrs of marriage!) my DH finally convinced me that Halloween is supposed to be SCARY! I usually did the cutsey Halloween. We now have an 8ft Frankenstein (big rubber store prop we bought last year) that we leave up all year in the family room. He gets dressed for other holidays and goes by Frankenbunny, Frankenclause, etc. Anyway, I'm getting excited for Halloween...can't cha tell? Have a great day everyone! Jean

I am so aweful with protein drinks they are either too sweet tasting or thick tasting and I cant stomache it.

44 lbs is great considering you were on the lower end of weight. I was 260 at surgery on 7/23. As of today I have lost 37.5(now 222.5) and the surgeon said that is more than normal.
Congrats to you. I bet your BMI has really gone done.
