Topic: RE: Momenteous Celabrating Anyone?
I think I want to do something for my family that day. That morning was probably one of the worst mornings of my life. Thinking of what if something went wrong and I'm leaving two young children and my poor husband alone to take care if the mess. They were all so supportive of me while I was recovering. My husband gave me the shots and all of them waited on my hand and foot for weeks.
My reward is the way I feel and look (and the clothes I get to buy). I want to use the day to thank my family for their support. Without it I don't think it would have went so well.
I'm going to have a candle light dinner party for them and a small little thank you gift set at each plate. My kids love candle light dinners. We've only done it once. They feel so special.

1st thing in the morning (5:30am):
1 Chewable multi (Centrum at the moment - IMO higher quality than Flinstones)
1 Bariatric Atvantage 29 mg Iron chewable
1 B-12 (Tue, Thu, Sun) 2000mg (my B12 was high so it was recommended to slow down)
8:00
1 Bariatric Atvantage 400 Calcium Citrate (with breakfast - I have a candy jar at my desk with BA calcium in it)
10:00
1 Bariatric Atvantage 400 Calcium Citrate (with snack)
12:00
1 Bariatric Atvantage 400 Calcium Citrate (with lunch)
3:00
Chewable multi
7:00ish
1 Bariatric Atvantage 400 Calcium Citrate (after dinner)
I just switched calcium to the last pill in the evening because someone told me I would sleep better. So I tried it last night. I slept well except when my cat knocked over something. Silly cat!
I just asked at my support meeting last night about the amount of calcium and was told 1400 - 1600 mg/day of Calcium Citrate. I was worried that I was taking to much and might develop kidney stones.

Barb,
I take the following:
1 Centrum Silver Chewable
1 Iron Supplement
1 Calcium Citrate
That's it. I'm sorry I'm not sure what the dosages are on the Iron and the Calcium. I just had labs done and they all came back within normal limits.

Last year I had a 'last supper celebration' that was a few days before surgey and exactly one month before my 35th birthday.
I had cake, my friends sang to me, I blew out candles just like it was my birthday. One of my friends suggested that I have the same type of gathering to celebrate being 1-year out.....I think I'll do that, except there will be dancing. Lots & lots of dancing!!!!

I toss out food all the time. I have not guilt or regret about it though.
How many years did I abuse myself as a human waste disposal by shoveling food down?? No more!!! When I'm full at a restarant it is rare that I bring it home with me. I leave it behind. I buy bags of pre-washed salad and chicken to eat for lunch during the week, on Fridays I often throw away what is left.
For me, it's liberating. I feel kind of proud that I couldn't finish something and don't feel the need to consume it all. I wish I could get a little bit of the money back, but I don't miss the food.
Topic: RE: Weekly Weigh In
No loss this week. I was out of town for a family funeral last week and did very well eating. Nothing that I couldn't/shouldn't have.
Although there is no loss on the scales, I am wearing size 12's now. That's very exciting.
I have a follow up appointment tomorrow w/ my surgeon. My bloodwork came back perfect - everything was within normal limits. I will, however, be seeing my GP for a hormone workup to see if I am beginning menopause. Still don't feel great. Could be that I'm just tired from all of the travel lately.
Congrats to all of you who are losing!
