Oops! I didn't weigh myself this morning. In fact, I'm afraid to weigh myself for fear that I will not have lost weight It's that old fear of failure coming back to haunt me! I've been travelling for the past 2 weeks. Hot weather, not enough water and hours of walking. Thank God I took my protein, powdered milk & shaker bottle! Not sure how well I did on the calorie count for the semi-sold food since I didn't keep my journal while away. OK gang....I promise to get courageous & hop on the scale tomorrow morning. Then I'll post my weight. Keep yer fingers crossed! Charity

Yes, Amy I have a hard time seeing it in the mirror. People who see my pictures on my profile can see it....I only catch glimpses of it. My weigh in as of last Thursday*: DOS: 312.8 9/20: 277.6 Total loss: 35.2 *I officially weigh once a week now to break my scale-***** habit. But I do know I've lost 36 pounds as of today.

I had surgery on 7/19 and have lost 36 pounds. I stalled at around 26 pounds for almost 2 weeks. It was very frustrating. However, it was also reassuring to learn that this happens to everyone at some point. I too have a difficult time havig an appetite to eat. I consider it freedom from food, at last! When I eat now I think of it as giving my body fuel to burn this fat off me. It's true what I've head others say: We eat to live, not live to eat. I've been keeping track of my weight loss since surgery, I noticed a pattern. I tend to not lose very much weight just before and during my period. So I'm looking forward to losing more weight next week *fingers crossed* Keep following your surgeon's instructions. Get your protein, water and vitamins....the weight will come off.
