Topic: RE: Question??? Before and After
Ooooooooh! Good Question!! I wake up with less aches and pains. My sciatic was really bothering me before surgery, not anymore. I don't take pills for my blood pressure anymore!! I wear high heels to work again, something I had not done for a while! The other week I took a drive around Mt. Wilson with a friend and I saw lots of hikers. Suddenly I got the urge to hike! Since when did I ever want to hike??!!?! In the next few weeks, I'm going to get out there and try a short hike before the weather gets too cold. Oh yeah, and I'm dating again. Mothers, lock up your sons.

Same here I do that a lot during the week i just drink water at work I have tried to eat some "breakfast foods" but they make my stoma feel weird and then i have cramping so i am afraid to eat at work(don't want to go to the bathroom at work) and since i go 6 or more hours without eating Im used to it now... before surgery I would have had my breakfast and before that was digested I knew what i wanted for lunch and you best believe i ate that too. Yesterday I woke up took my meds went out to the mall stopped at target got home decided we wanted to see the King Tut exhibit(last day here in Philly) Had to go get the tickets stood in line got the tix came home took a nap (the show was @ 11pm) got up at 9pm got redressed went to the show came home @1:30 am and realized I did not eat all day...go figure

Great question, Carla! I can look in the mirror and not get depressed! Now that I can finally see that I am loosing and believe that I am going to be successful this time. I don't have to be asked twice (or three of four or five times) to go for a walk with my DH. I'm not embarrassed to be seen by friends I haven't had contact with for awhile. Still have a long way to go but am feeling so much more HOPEFUL! jEAN

I did not think I would feel as normal as I do. The only difference I feel is that I get full so quickly. That is exactly what I needed. I hope I do as well as you and hit hundreds. I have a long way to go still.
