Topic: COOL INFO about the show Big Medicine!!!
I just found out that my doctors are going to be on Big Medicine. I'm not sure when they will be on there, probably next season, but they are going to be on the show and Dr. Garth his dad will still be on there. They have already been filming at the doctors' office. That is so awesome that MY doctors will be on TV!!!!! I wish that I could have been on there. I waited long enough and fought long enough with my insurance company. I think that I deserved to be on tv! LOL! I love Big Medicine and Tivo it every Wednesday night. I love, love, love that show!!! Anyway, I just had to share my AWESOME news!!!! Have a great Friday everyone!!! ~Leslie~

Well I must admit I'm usually a lurker and not a poster but I wanted to share my great news. Wednesday I was 12 weeks post-op and like I do on all Wednesday mornings, I get up and visit my scale. And after a month of hardly moving boy did it move this time. It's official, 100lbs gone. I might just make my first big goal which was to be under 300 by my 3 month mark on October 11. I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere!! Linda

No- they revised the anastomosis or opening between the pouch and intestine. The problem was the scar tissue would constrict and close the opening between the pouch and intestine causing me to vomit and get dehydrated. The majority of times this happens they can dilate the opening with endoscopic ballooning. They tried that 3 times with me but there was too much scar tissue. During the revision they went in and removed a lot of scar tissue and fixed the angle between my stomach and intestine. My surgeon said he is 99% sure this will fix it. Hopefully he is correct. If they put everything back to normal I woul dbe in tears. That be like I did it all for nothing! Thanks so much for your support. I think I have told this before, but I love your photo. It reminds me of film noir head shots for the 1940s.

Topic: RE: Re: Christmas wish
My wish is to be down to 160 by Christmas- I am at 189 right now. I think 29 lbs. by Christmas is doable. I want to have Christmas pictures I am proud of this year. Giiven that I will be on a liquid diet for the next three weeks due to my revision I think this goal is appropriate. Best wishes to all on their Christmas goals. I also am looking forward to eating cornbread dressing, which is a soft food and one of my favorites!
