Topic: Progress Photos :-)
Here's a call to all July-ers to post your favorite photos that show your progress to date. Here are a couple of mine.... The first is entitled "Undies Falling Off" ... This photo is husband's idea for a before & after that shows just how far I've come in 3 months .... I guess I've lost part of my butt! http://images.obesityhelp.com/uploads/profile/358184/albums/35182/10-21-07_1043.jpg The second is entitled "Lost The Dog" .... I realized today that I've lost an entire Border Collie! (and she's a big dog too). I can't even lift her up now. How did I ever cart all of that extra weight around? http://images.obesityhelp.com/uploads/profile/358184/albums/35182/10-21-07_1047.jpg Hope you have fun with this Charity

Topic: Hey
hey guys! my scale seems to be stuck in the low 280s and does NOT wanna move! i feel like i've been going up and down from 284 to 282 to 283 to 281 etc... for like the past two weeks...maybe i'm not getting enough water, or not eating enough food???!!! ive been trying to get on an excercise schedule but i just started a new job a few weeks ago and ive been doing orientations and training classes and then i actually started work so by the time i get home, its MY time and i'm beat! i had my surgery on july 16 and started at 331 lbs and my scale tonite said 282 so i almost lost 50 but i feel like i'm on a plateau and its driving me nuts! is it normal to plateau at 3 months out??? Topic: RE: Julyers-- how many calories do you consume daily, honestly?
Melanie-- my doc, my nutritionist, and everything I have read have said that women of our size should have about 80g of protein a day--- if you are having less, make sure your doc checks your protein and albumen levels! Protein is crucial for you to heal well. Unjury makes a good unflavored protein-- and a chicken soup flavor if you think you might like that! I was eating 75g a day and still came up deficient-- had to up it to 80-90! Also-- my doc has us eating 1/2 cup meals for 6 months, so don't worry too muchabout getting in more volume! ;)

Topic: No appetite, yet - Eating to sustain life only!
Well, I don't have an appetite at all. Don't care to eat ... don't enjoy eating. I almost forget to eat everyday. Sooo, after visiting my Nut, I decided to eat according to my outlook calendar - 8-9 brkft, 12-1 lunch, & 5-6 dinner. NOW, my portions are crazy right now - doc says not to worry, yet! I eat less than three tablespoons of food each meal. I have had the EGD done, they did find an ulcer however my opening hadn't tightened, at that time. I am scheduled for a follow-up EGD on Wed. I LOVE skim milk w/ ice ... I can drink a 8 oz glass over the course of 30 minutes or so. At first, I hated skim milk and CIB. NOW, CIB twice a day is my "fall-back" in case I don't get in the meals. All WHEY powders taste too sweet to me so I am searching for non-flavored Whey to add to drinks so that I get in the protein. The most high protein meal that I eat weekly is Liver. My understanding is that one piece has about 80-95 grams of protein. So, between that and tuna...backed with my milk.....I am able to get (about 40-60g) in the protein over the course of the day. I really hope things will change soon - I would like to be able to eat one cup of food at a meal. I am losing weight rapidly-I am at 80+ pounds lost. I take my vitamins religiously. Just, never hungry. So instead of enjoying eating like I use to - I know eat to sustain life8
