Topic: RE: Just Wanted to Share a Protein Tip:
Hi, Francine! Love the idea of a "Tip of the Week/Day" post!!! I discovered Splenda Flavor Blends in French vanilla and Mocha for my coffee. No protein but great taste! Will have to try the protein powder in my coffee. You are so right about making what we eat COUNT! My doc is discouraging the protein powders and wants me to eat "real food" for my protein. I do try to do that, slowly adding things, but without my protein bars or powder, I'd never make the 60ish grams of protein daily that he recommends. Nice to see you joining in! Love your ideas! Jean

I am so close to my New Years Goal that I am making it my Thanksgiving goal... LOL
Today I weighed in at 303.0... WOW... that is 92 pounds lost so far.. WHOOOHOOO
Before surgery I was in some very tight, didnt fit 32 size jeans... they mostly didnt fit, since I couldnt get them zipped 99% of the time.
Today I am in a pair of 26 jeans... HOLY CRAP !!!!
I gotta run today... helping with the Big Thanksgiving Program at Daniel's School.
Have a great day.

Meatballs and Stroganoff
Make a turkey meatball with ground turkey, 1 egg salt & pepper. (Garlic salt for the marinara)
You can then add them to simmering marinara sauce and cook for 30 or 40 minutes. No frying and they are softer and easy for me to digest. I eat about two.
I also make a stroganoff with 1 can of 98% cream of mushroom soup and ~1 can water. Drop the meatballs in for about 30 minutes. After about 10 - 15 minutes add a package of ff cream cheese.
I top these with whole wheat pasta.
Topic: RE: What are you'all eating?
Thanks. I know the day will come when I'm able to eat more so I will take advantage of the restriction now.
Topic: RE: Monday Weigh In!
Today I had a good weigh-in, yet it was a bad one too.
Bad: A loss of only 1 pound this week.
Good: I have officially lost 100 pounds!!!!!!!
Highest Weight: 278 pounds
Day of Surgery: 243 pounds
Today (11/14/07): 178 pounds
Loss since surgery: 65 pounds
Total loss: 100 pounds!!!!!!!!!
Some people don't count the 100 pounds from their highest weight, just from their day of surgery weight. I count from the highest because it was hard work losing that weight prior to surgery!!!
Yippee!!! I am so proud of myself!!!
