Topic: 4 month surgiversary!!!!
Well today I am officially 4 months post op. I think I have done pretty well with my overall weightloss so far. I am not too happy with my weightloss this month... only 11.5 pounds. I am able to eat more foods, and I have been eatting crackers lately so I think that might be part of the problem.. darn carbs.
Here is my chart so far for my monthly weights...
Excess = 150 (-240) GOAL = 190 (-205)
Start 395.0
7/31/2007 373.5 Surgery Date
8/31/2007 347.0 -48 20% (excess) 23% (to goal)
9/30/2007 327.0 -68 28% (excess) 33% (to goal)
10/31/2007 311.0 -84 35% (excess) 40% (to goal)
11/30/2007 299.5 -95.5 39% (excess) 46% (to goal)
I have lost a total of 95.5 pounds in 4 months, which I think is AWESOME!!!!
I will check in later
Topic: RE: help me
If you need someone just 6 weeks out, you might visit the October 2007 forum. All of us are between 4-5 months out and had surgery sometime in the month of July. Otherwise, I'd volunteer!
Best of luck on your research!! I'm sure you'll find someone...

Topic: help me
Hey it has been a year and a half since I have had my surgery, I have had a lot going on but first drum roll please.... I am down to 115 lbs!!!!! I have had the best experience with my surgery I really am a new person!
I have changed my life completely I am going back to school to be a certified wellness instructor! I want to be a personal trainer specifically to help others who are going through the Gastric Bypass surgery.
This is why I need your help. I am doing a final project and I need someone who is around 6 weeks or so out from their surgery. I believe that is when the Dr. said that is when he will give a medical release for someone to start on a physical fitness program.
I have a project due that I need immediate help with but also I am trying to design my program and need to do a little recherché and get helpful input.
If you're interested in getting some free personal Training advice and don't mind being my guinea pig then please help me!!!!

Topic: RE: First Alcoholic Drink
Hey I am an old pro in this field I am a year and a half out from my surgery and from experience don't do the martinis in excess. They are loaded with sugar!! I have a vodka and cranberry juice. Less sugar easy on the stomach. I love mixing crystal light with rum or vodka. If you buy the 100% real fruit juice with no added sugars then that will be better for you. You do get drunk a lot quicker after the surgery so limit what you drink.
Remember 1 gram of alcohol still has 7 grams of calories no mater what kind you drink. We did all this hard work to get this far we need to try and not over do it!
