Hi, Brandy! Thanks for responding to my post. It has been really been discouraging watching myself make poor food choices over these past few days. And, it feels just like that...that I'm watching this other person eating and not doing anything to help her stop!!! Weird, huh? Talking about it here has helped me and I've gotten some good support. Knowing I'm not the only one going through this helps too. I hope we can get back on track soon! Keep in touch and thanks, Jean

Don't be hard on yourself. If your like me that's when I get depressed. It's time to take charge. Here's a start
1) Make sure you have all the right foods in the house and ready for work. Go to the store tonight and get the food your body needs.
2) Get the crap out of the house. If there are temptations at work - give yourself a substitute like protein pudding.
3) Water I start my day with a 16 oz protein drink and a 24 oz shaker of crystal light and bring it to work. That has to be gone by Lunch.
Don't get thirsty and don't go low on your protein!!!!!
Think of sugar like crack. I can't control myself with it. It is the monkey on my back so I don't have any. The sugar is making your blood sugar drop and draining your energy -GET IT OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM!!!!! Start your sugar rehab! Replace with chocolate protein and crystal light.
Ok there is a kick in the butt.

Oh Jean, don't be so hard on yourself. This is the hard part of the year. Remember, you are NOT a failure. Look how far you have came already. Hang in there. You just need to find some other snack foods instead of the candies, chocalate covered pretzels, and cinnamon bagels. Find a piece of fruit or protein drink, protein bar, or something with protein to make you fuller. The sweets are Empty calories and we don't need them. I am like that to, I don't dump on candies or chocolate, but I'll eat a bite or a small reese cup once a week for a little treat. We're not perfect. There will always be a part of us that wants the "fatty" or "not-so-good" foods. Just work on the calorie intake and the water. At first, I wasn't getting in all my water, I had 4 urinary tract infections in 2 months. The DR said it was from me not drinking enough to flush out all the bacteria and I was also dehydrated. I was miserable. So, I have learned to get my water in now. I make it my top priority. You are going to come out of this a winner, a successful winner that is. YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE AND YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FAIL THIS TIME. Just remember that. I hope things get better for you. Remember to take it one day at a time. ((((((HUGS))))))

Hi, everyone! HELP! I am really struggling to keep my calories down these days. Yeah, it's the holiday season but since I haven't had any "dumping" after having candy, choc covered pretzels, cinnamon bagel, etc., I seem to have lost the control I have been so proud of! I'm having cravings for that stuff where I never did before (after WLS, that is!). One problem is that I'm not getting in my protein like before. So, even if that means protein bars, I have to make it a priority. I'm not drinking all the water that I should either. Guess I know what to do, just like every other time I've tried to loose weight! Failure after failure! I don't want to fail again! Guess I'm just looking for a kick in the butt from you all! Sorry about the rambling...Jean
