Thank you so much! Isn't it amazing how much better we feel about ourselves now? My hubby and best friend have mentioned my collar bones. That's one place that I couldn't wait to see some bones!

Another scale ***** adding her two cents here.... I too was weighing in several times a day, and becoming very frustrated. I brought the scale to work and keep it in my cubicle now. When I weigh-in now I have to take it to the ladies room, completely disrobe and do all this before I eat or drink anything in the morning. This has cut down on my weigh-ins, but I still do this almost every morning. As an added bonus, my co-workers have taken up an interest in their weigh too. They sometimes borrow the scale to weigh themselves.

Topic: RE: 5 Day Pouch Test- Day 4
I wasn't prepared food-wise for day four. However, I did experience the same things you mentioned. My water is already done for today and I'm still drinking. When I returned from lunch I was FULL! Almost uncomfortably full.... I'm ready for day five though, I grilled up some pieces of chicken to have all day. The scale is a whole other issue. Not only has it not budged, I've gained since last week. My friends on the Cali board have been really encouraging and pointed out that since I'm doing a lot of strength training and cardio that I should not worry.

Topic: Recipes
Here's some recipes I've tried recently and really liked. Thought I would share! Mock Rice Pudding: 2 cups skim milk 1 scoop protein powder cinnamon to taste nutmeg to taste 1 small box instant SF/FF vanilla pudding mix 16 oz. light cottage cheese 2 small snack-sized boxes of raisins Wisk protein powder (I used Unjury plain), cinnamon, and nutmeg into milk. Then wisk in pudding mix. After a few minutes when it starts to thicken, stir in cottage cheese and raisins. Let is stand, covered, in the fridge for about an hour (the longer it sits, the softer the raisins will be). With the added protein powder, a 1/2 cup serving is about 13 g protein! It's really good! Parmesean Tuna Patties (from the 5 day pouch test web site) 1 (6 3/4-oz) can albacore tuna 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 1 large egg 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons ground flaxmeal 1 dash garlic powder 1 dash onion powder 1 dash salt Directions: Drain tuna. Blend all ingredients in a medium size bowl and form into patties. Fry in oil (I use olive oil, but you may use cooking spray****il brown on edges. Turn. Fry until done. Recipe serves four. Per serving: 284 calories, 32 grams protein, 15 grams fat (3 saturated) and 4 grams carbohydrate. I couldn't find flax meal so I used Italian Bread crumbs and it was excellent (I'm not normally a tuna-loving person). My husband really liked them too!

Topic: 5 Day Pouch Test- Day 4
How was your Thursday? This pouch test is getting easier as it progresses. I find myself being less tempted to snack, doing better with fluid intake than before, and feeling satisfied longer. And I do feel my pouch tightening- I noticed it most when drinking fluids. I used to be able to drink a fairly large amount rather quickly. By today, I definitely found that I had to slow down! For breakfast today I had some Mock Rice pudding, lunch was a piece of meatloaf, and dinner is chicken salad. I'm down 3 pounds today!

Topic: RE: 5 Day Pouch Test -- Day 3 -- Wednesday
Day 3 went well for me. I had a scrambled egg with bacon in the morning. For lunch I made Mock Rice Pudding, and for dinner I made Tuna patties (mmmm!) Liquids went really well, too. And I had my colonoscopy which came back fine- more tests to follow!
