Where are you size-wise?

I started this year as a 36W-38W....and am now comfortably wearing 22s. I also started this year as a MAJOR hourglass (48H bra--65 inch hips), but am now a pear, big time (40DDD bra, no idea what size hips). I know we tend to lose from the top down, and my butt's gonna be the last one off da train! How're you doing size-wise?

I'm on a scale-plateu, but size-wise I've come a long way. When I had surgery I was a 24 on top and 26 in pants. Today I'm a 14/16 or 18 in tops and a 20 in pants. Yes, my top half is melting away faster than my legs, but still I'll take wat I can get!

Ha! When I see that some of the other July folks are hitting the century mark, I cry foul too!! I'm working my @$$ off in the gym 3-4 days a week. My fitness-minded friends try to remind me that while I'm losing I'm building a lot of musle underneath with my strength-training routine and that creates a leaner appearance. But I want the scale to move too!!!

I'm down 135 pounds, but only 65 of that's post-op--- I lost a lot of weight very quickly, so those fast initial post-op losses most people have didn't happen for me, of course. So while I am still in 22-24s, I am also down 135 pounds, so I'll take it! Crazy how we're all so different, isn't it?

We've lost the same amount post-op. (I didn't try to lose any weight before surgery and was not required to by my surgeon.) This whole thread is a really good reminder for me to stop comparing my progress to others. At five months post-op I'm doing so much more than I ever imagined. I'm boxing, running, clmbing the stairs to my apartment in a jiffy and beginning to buy normal clothes off the rack. It think it's important to focus on what you have accomplished than what you perceive as short-comings or failures.

Hey, Monica! Good for you!!! I've got the same problem with my top melting first, too. Then, it's my behind and legs...still got plenty around the middle that I can't wait to loose. I was always deeper than wide!!!! Keep up the good work! Jean

Every month my personal trainer takes my measurements (they're on my profile) and when I was measured in November I had gained a half inch in my abs. My trainer did not like this, so he had me do a lot of crunches at every workout. Lots of twsty crunches too so that my waistline will go in. At this last check-in I had lost 2 inches. Get an ab workout dvd and do them at home, your middle will waste away.

Started the year at 22-24 top and bottom, pre-surgery weight of 263lbs. Now: Large top with a FEW mediums scattered in! 12 bottoms or medium / large somewhere in the vacintity of 175 lbs ( I don't weigh myself often ). Unfortunatley, Boobs went from 42 D/DD down to a 36 C, but they were the last to go. I lost legs, butt, arms, waist, boobs. Not too bad, at least the girls held on for a while longer. OK this is what I know... now realize that I havent bought clothes in YEARS and that most of what I had was wore out and stretched out... LOL Before surgery my 32 jeans werent even going to think about fitting... LOL and I wore 4X or 5X pants (stretchy ones). My tops were 32 or 5XL (usually whatever the biggest X size they had). My bra was a 48H or 48I. Now I fit into a pair of 24 jeans and an XL top (tops are anywhere from XL to 2XL depending on the top... but I think I am getting to where just XL fits now). Bras I now wear a 44DDD. The girls have moved far south... they were the first to go... LOL... my butt has been leaving me too, I use to have a shelf back there and it is now gone... LOL I have gone from 395 (pre liquid diet) to 373.5 (just barely made the 20-25 pound loss that my surgeon required) to 282 today... so that is a total of 91.5 pounds gone since surgery and a total of 113 pounds gone forever. I have a personal goal of 279 by December 31st (my 5 month anniversary) so that is 3 pounds to go.... not sure if I can make that. I think I am doing GREAT just as I am... LOL Happy day, Susan
