I'm having hair loss as well. I have been losing it since about 3 months out. It is very depressing because I had thin hair when I started this and now it is even worse. No one has commented on it, but I notice it in the shower, on my floor in the bathroom, around my sink, all down the back of my clothes - it's everywhere except on my head! I just dont see how I have any hair left! I have noticed these little baby hairs, but I don't know if that is just left overs from broken hair or if it is new hair???? I dunno, but I think if it starts getting REALLY bad then I will get some form of hair piece... they make some really cute styles now. PLEASE OH PLEASE I hope it stops soon!!! ~Amber~

I've been noticing more and more hair in the shower, sink, floor, comb, etc. It's driving my nutz, but I knew about it before surgery, and I'd still do it all over again if I had to. My surgeon told me that my hair is going to thin and fall out. He said no doubt about it.....he told me "you're having major surgery and your body will go through major changes, and there's not much you can do about it. It'll pass after a few months, so just deal with it the best you can!" I'm praying that my hair doesn't thin too much in the front, but also see short strands here and there, so maybe that's new growth and signs of the end of pulling out clumps. I sure hope so! I hear 6 months is the stopping point where protein and body chemicals start to level out and bounce back from the shock! The post bariatric vitamin that I take 4x daily already contains biotin, and I don't want anymore hair where it shouldn't be (chin, sideburns, belly and chest), so I'm avoiding taking more.

Ditto to all of those that have replied to your post. I did check with my doctor when I went for my 3 months check up because mine started falling out soon after my surgery. He said that this is normal for the first 9 months after surgery.. so needless to say I'm counting the days! I have to say though, I've started taking more protein trying to speed up my weight loss because it is slowing down, but eversince I increased my protein intake, the hair loss is not as bad. I still see my hair everywhere (I hate it), but it has gotten better. Good luck!

Newsflash- my sister was up for the holidays, used my shampoo and asked how I still had hair since it made her hair fall out. She used it for 2 shampoos to see if it just wasn't a fluke.. needless to say, it seems I lost more hair then necessary, since I switched to some sample of some stuff I had, and had hardly any hairloss to freak out over.. Needless to say Pantene is getting a scathing note from me. My sister found this all very humourous since I would never shut up about the hairloss, and it could have been lesser of an impact if I hadn't tried the fancy shampoo.. I will stick to my dollar store specials from now on.
