The Doctor Really Is Smarter Than Us
"Food for thought". The day of surgery my Dr. told me I could stop taking my blood pressure, diabetic, asthma med.s ect. but did tell me to continue taking my thyroid med.s. This is the 1 and only time I thought I knew more than my Dr., ( I Guess that's what I was thinking ) I figured if I could stop taking everything else, why not that too. So I stopped EVERYTHING. I wrote off my being tired all the time to "Recovery". Lately I've noticed it's hard to even lift my arms and my hips were hurting like I have arthritis. Called my regular doctor and had him order labs to find out that my thyroid is off the charts! My protiens and everything else was great, but he told me most people come back with thyroid numbers in the 30's where mine came back in the 140's!!!! That's over 100 point higher! He told me he's only ever seen numbers over 100 ONE other time EVER!!!! Lesson learned, our surgeon is ALWAYS smarter than us in this area! It's his job, and we pay him well for his expertise, ALWAYS listen to him. Getting back on my meds will put me on track to where I should be. Weight loss should speed up due to more energy to do more things, hips should stop hurting, should regain strength, and generally feel better! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and remember Splenda is your friend. I Am NOT Smarter Than Dr. Ludwig, BUT I Am Stronger Than Myself -- Janice Copeland
I am glad that you found out what was wrong and am getting it fixed. Who would have thought that the Doctors are smarter than we are... LOL
Hey Dr Ludwig, use to be down here in Mississippi... I think he moved somewhere else again... I was going to use him for surgery 3 years ago, but insurance was being a butt.
