Hi, fellow Julyers! Just wondering what you are thankful for and if you have any goals set for Thanksgiving or plans for how to get past Turkey Day? I am sooooo thankful to have had this surgery! I feel soooo much better about myself and am already doing things I haven't in years: able to get my wedding ring off my finger (size 6 on an 8 1/2 finger!), cross my legs, hold my grandchildren closer on my lap, walk up the stairs without huffing and puffing, look in a mirror and not see a double, triple chin! The list could go on..........how about you? Jean

Yeah Jean!!!!! I'm still working on getting into my 16 pants. The 18's are not tight anymore so 16 is my next goal.

Hi Jean! Like you I am thankful for my new life! Life has really changed since surgery and for the first time I really feel "empowered" by my new body and in control of my actions. I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving too! We are traveling to my in-laws for a long weekend and my sister in law and her children are coming too. I am looking forward to the good times, the laughs, and even the food. I know that I can have a taste of everything that I truly love and still be in control and not eat myself into oblivion. Sure I am going to splurge that day and you know what, its okay, because the next day is a new day and I will be back to my normal lifestyle and eating habits. Everyday is a great day!

I'll be completing a 5k on Thanksgiving morning. I'm pretty excited about that. I've done one before but I hope to finish faster and easier than I did when I was heavier. I'm thankful for my family and that I get to spend another holiday with them.
