Julyers-- how many calories do you consume daily, honestly?

Even if you don't usually count-- on a typical day, about how many calories would you say you are taking in? Do you get all your protein as well? How many carbs? Inquiring mind! (I eat about 650--- usually 80g protein, 10 g fat, 60ish carbs) -S.

I just started using sparkpeople.com I love it. It's much better for me that fitday. so my averages on.... calories 600-800 protein ~60 g fat is all over the place mostly about under 30 g but one day up to 40 g carbs between 25-50 g

FitDay says last week I averaged 670 and this week 648. Protein is usually between 75 and 85. Fat 14-18 grams, carbs as high as 35 and as low as 19. Anyone else just kinda tired of eating and not hungry at all?? Penny

Yes, Penny, I am tired of food, it has been blah for the past two weeks. But I make myself eat to stay healthy. I'm usually around 700 a day. Been as low as 550 and as high as 900 though. Depending on the day. My NUT just requires me to have over 60g of protein a day, though I am still restricted on my carbs. Only allowed veggies until I've lost 75% of my excess weight. Then I can add fruits. The rest of the healthy carbs can be added at goal. HTH! Andi

My nut says 600-900 a day and I usually am around 700-900. Protein 60 grams a day and I really don't track fat or carbs. However, I rarely eat bread, pasta, etc so my carbs would come mostly from veggies as I am a salad ***** I always have protein on my salads tho. My thing lately is I feel like my portion sizes are increasing and it scares me a little. I try to weigh everything when I am home, however, when I am out I just have to eyeball it. I ate 6 ounces at dinner. Where is everyone else with portion sizes?

I try to keep my portions of solid food to 1 cup but if it's salad, I can eat A LOT more! I've been feeling lately that 1 cup doesn't give me that same feeling of fullness as it once did... I don't like that.

Until 6 months, I'm only allowed 4 ounces at a meal----- or 1/2 cup!

I track my food Mon-Fri on www.fitday.com On average I eat: 565 calories per day 16 grams of fat 72 grams of protein 28 grams of carbs Hmm, I should up my protein a bit. Good question! Thanks for asking!

I guess the only people that answered the question so far were those that eat very little calories so from the others I eat between 1200-1500 cals per day with no problem whatsoever....

Pam--- are you measuring your meals and staying with your nutritional guidelines? Our doc doesn't allow us to "eat as we like"-- we eat 3 meals a day-- each contains 2 oz protein, 1 oz fruit/vegetable and 1 ounce starch. Your calories seem very high for a relatively recent post-op. Please check with your nutritionist! Your profile also says you've been eating things like regular ice cream-- are those foods okay with your surgeon?
