Mini-Goal/Self Challenge?
Hi my fellow Julyers! So I was wondering what everyone had coming up in the next few months that you are looking forward to? Like an event or vacation that you will reveal the quasi-new-you?
I will tell you what mine is....
I am originally from Florida and my Mom, brother, and best friends still live there. I am watching flights and want to go around the 20th of October. That gives me about a month to really work it. I would like to get down another 12-15 lbs so I am at or around 240, but more than anything I would love to fit comfy into my 16's and maybe even squeeze into a 14! (I am currently in a snug 18) I haven't been that small since just after high school. When I go on vacation to FL, we go out a lot and I run into a ton of people so it is like a blast from the past. I don't care that I want to show off a little!!
Tell me what you are looking forward to!
My goal is focused on one day! My husband is a fireman and I have always hated the firemans Christmas party.....I hated being the fattest one in the room, but this year I won't be, and I plan on wearing an amazing outfit no matter what size I am in then...but I am hoping for a 10 or so. A few people on the dept know I had surgery and a few of the wives do to, but I never see any of them except for the crew my husband works with so I am so hoping to knock their socks off.....Firemen are a close group, and no one ever said anything to make me feel uncomfortable in years past, but it has always been an event I dread..until this year!!

Good Idea...
I havent even thought of mini goals... LOL
I guess I need to make some mini goals (I just hate to not make them and then be dissapointed when it dosent happen... LOL)
I know by New Years (that would be 5 months out) I would love to be in the 200's so that means I need to loose 40+ pounds in 3 months.
My birthday is in April, my sister and I are going on a cruise, and I would love to be 250 or lower by then (90+ pounds in 6 months).
My goals seem out of wack and maybe to high, what do you all think.
I'm flying up to San Francisco in November. I'm looking forward to how I will fit in the airplane seat. 2 years ago when I flew I dreaded finding out who I would have to sit next to and I hoped they wouldn't be annoyed about sitting next to a fat girl.
I'm also looking forward to seeing my friends there who have not seen me in two years. Oh! ...and I'm looking forward to walking those hills without huffing and puffing!!
I want to wear a killer outfit for New Years Eve. I'll be about 5 months out and I hope that I'll be down about 75 pounds by then. I love dressing up and I can't wait to shop for something sparkly and hot!
Hey Monica! I totally know what you mean with the airplane and the seatbelt extender and the whole bit. I hated flying and would fly 3-4 times a year and it was always miserable. I even got to the point that I "stole" a seatbelt extender and would carry it with me when I flew so I would not have to ask for one each time!
Not this time!! No seatbelt extender for us! Wahoo!!
Hi, everyone! Amanda! What a great question! My parents haven't seen me since before my surgery and I'm looking forward to seeing their reactions!! I'll probably go for Christmas, three months from now, and hope to weigh 180lbs by then! I'm 216 now, so I think it is a realistic goal. My short term goals are to get to 199lbs and into a size 18 jeans. The heck with the 20s!!! Jean
