Help with photos/avatar

I thought I was a pretty savvy person on the computer but I cannot get my pictures to post inmy profile. It keeps telling me they are too big! Can anyone help me?? Malissa

OKAY I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS CORRECT BUT YOU HAVE TO START WITH A LOW RESOLUTION PHOTE (LIKE A PHONE PHOTO). DOWNLOAD THE FREE VERSION OF PRINT SHOP OF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE IT. THEN SELECT YOUR PHONE AND CROPPED THE HELL OUT OF IT UNTIL IT IS 20K OR LESS AND 100 x 100 AND SAVE IT IN JPEG.
