The weigh in thread is a little confusing when you include pre-op losses...I am trying to see if I am phenomenally slow-- Can you all please share your weight as you went into surgery, and your weight today? As for me: DOS (7/16): 300.8 Today: 279.8 I just feel like everyone's leaving me in the dust! I'm following my nutritionist's plan, getting lots of exercise...and finally getting in my 64 oz. of water (but I wasn't early on-- which might have held me back!) I eat 80 g of protein a day, 50 carbs, very low fat, and average 650-700 calories at this point.

DOS: 260 today: 223 Total of 37, but honestly I think it's closer to 30. My DOS weight was at the dr's office. My today weight is on my home scale. I think you are doing GREAT!!!

Hi Shari, I consider myself a slow loser too and it is frustrating. Day of Surgery: 290 Today: 263 with no loss in over a week. We are all metabolicly different. We cannot get in 600-900 calories (per my nut reccomendations) per day and NOT lose weight. We burn way more than that with just our daily activities. Please don't get frustrated. It just happens slower for some of us! Keep up the great work!

Day of surgery: 394 Today: 353 But I didn't lose pre-op. The more you lost pre-op the slower it will come off post-op. But just remember we will all get to where we want to be!

Hi, Shari!!! I have lost (as of this morning) 54lbs total but only 26lbs since surgery! I think you are right on track! My surgeon has a very strict program of 2 wks LD prior to surg and 1 month after surg. I've only been eating solid, food for 2 wks. And, don't forget...I was on the LD for 11 days when my surg had to be rescheduled for about 1 month later....and, I got to do the 2 wk LD all over again! I'm happy with my wt loss but it ain't been easy!!! Take care, Jean

Well as of today DOS(7/12) 295 today 265 30 I watch the scale kind of bounce back and fourth. That drives me crazy 7 weeks tomorrow would be about 4.5 / week Though all my pants are much looser and I've even been able to go down another size (all the stuff in my closet) my expectations are ready to be a size 14 already. I guess patience is needed another month and we will see big changes. Heidi

I think I am a slow looser also.... Day of Surgery - 373.5 Today - 349.0 Total lost - 24.5 pounds Here is my weekly breakdown... (surgery on Tuesday and so were all the weigh ins) Surgery 373.5 Week 1 - 357 (-16.5 pounds) Week 2 - 355 (-2 pounds) Week 3 - 353.5 (-1.5 pounds) Week 4 - 349 (-4.5 pounds) As you can see I lost ALOT the first week.. then got piddly for 2 weeks then started loosing again last week. It does average out to 6 pounds per week which is good, but I just dont like week 2 & 3 where I only lost 1-2 pounds. It will all come off in time... we just have to wait patiently (by the way I am not patient... LOL)
