Not all sunshine and roses...
I did lose a ton pre-op--- but post op, not so much. 6 weeks and I have lost about 20 pounds since pre-surgery. I follow my diet to the letter, don't cheat, and exercise daily.
Tomorrow, I have to have a CT scan-- what we think were big hematomas in my belly got torqued and are giving me searing pain again. Might have to have them opened up and suctioned.
The part that hurts is that I thought the pre-op losses might prevent me from some pain, or help me lose quickly after-- "priming the pump" or something like that.
Twenty pounds. Geez--- I lost faster pre-op.
Hi, Shari! Don't minimize your pre-op wt loss...it still counts! In fact, because of that, you have probably lost a lot of water weight and the weight you are loosing now is definitely fat. sorry, I hate to say that word Either way, the scale has moved and it's going in the right direction. You should be applauded for being so conscientious about your program!!! Sorry you are in pain, I hope it is resolved soon! Not sure if hematomas are less likely with rapid wt. loss prior to surgery. Take care and keep in touch, Jean
One of the OH members suggests using vinegar apple or balsamic dashed on a salad or tuna and it helps with water weight . She's 6 months out and at goal wearing a size 5 and she swears by it.... and she also suggests eating cucumbers with the vinegar I was doing it stopped and now I'm back to it and sticking to it...(ran out of kirby cucumbers)oh and use cinimmon in your shakes if you can!!!
