Okay Julyers I know the weight lost is THE greatest best thing BUT what is the thing you absolutely don't like about the GB surgery (if any) AND would you do it again??? Just curious Carla

I would do it again in a heartbeat...no doubts about that. I miss being able to chug down a huge bottle of water when I'm thirsty.

Hey, Carla! I would also have WLS again, in a heart beat! I can't believe how much better I feel already, both physically and mentally! More energy, better mood and a feeling of hope that I CAN loose this weight!!! I could go on.......... The downside for me has been not eating out. I really miss that and don't know what I would order if I did go out. Any suggestions? Take care, Jean

I had a little bit of anxiety about eating out again after surgery. But then I thought about all the OHers in Cali...we are always having dinner together. YOU CAN go out and eat. There are plenty of options at restaurants, like soup....high protein items like eggs for breakfast, or the other day I had a hamburger. I ditched the bun, and ate about half of the patty with some mustard and got very very full. ( I used a fork & knife) Don't put your life on hold because you had surgery. My focus is now the people I'm dining with, conversation, laughter, building friendship...the food is secondary.

I think I will second just about everything posted above. I def. would do it again!!! I miss drinking while I am eating. My boyfriend never drinks until after he has finished eating, and I was always amazed by it. Now I have to do it As for eating out, grilled chicken, hamburgers, eggs, soup. I just avoid anything with heavy sauces and that is fried. I don't like ordering a meal because I barely make a dent in it. Then the waitress asks why didn' tyou eat. So I either eat off someone elses plate or I pass my plate to someone else at the table to finish my food.

I would have to agree with Monica chugging water or a drink when thirsty.

Never doubted my choice for 1 second. Would do it over and over again! I am tired of feeling nausious everytime I eat anything. Wish I could just puke and get it over with! Doctor says it will pass over time (like a slow moving train I guess). I Am Stronger Than Myself Janice

Thanks Julyers Great responses!!It's interesting to see the differences in the negatives but we all agree on the positives of having the surgery again. Thanks again, Carla
