Jeeeze! Where is everyone on this board!
Hid my (brand new) scale somewhere around 2-3 weeks post op because the scale hadn't moved in 3 whole days (ha ha, yeah I know....) and it was making me mental.
Have my first post op. with the surgeon on Thurs., so I can wait until then to get weighed. I'm going to guess I'll be somewhere between 20 and 25 pounds down since the op. on 7/20. Slower than I expected, but what are you gonna do? I could always drop the lbs. pretty fast pre-op if I had to, so I guess that's why I was expecting a 40 lb. miracle or something.
Life is strange. I went to lunch with a friend yesterday who is pretty much wasting away from cancer. He's only 40 yrs. old or so. So here we are.....he's struggling so hard to keep weight on, and I've just had my intestines re-routed in order to take weight off. We both ate the same thing....a small cup of tortilla soup.
