what are you all taking for acid control

my dr wants me to take preacid or prilosec for the first 3 months I just wanted to see what you all was taking. or if you had to take anything. thanks

I am taking nexium right now. But the doctor said when this months prescription is done I can switch to an over the counter. He recommends Prilosec for me and I know they come chewable. Its weird- pre surgery only zantac and tums would soothe GERD...now I never have a problem!!!

I'm taking famotidine I believe that's a generic pepsid 20 mg they only come in 40mg so I have to split all the little pills in half....that's fun.... I have to take them for three months too. Do you have to take flintstone vitamins? I hate themI take 1200 mg of Vitamin D 1000 mg of sublingual B-12 complex .....and 1000mg of vitamin C and my iron 3 x's a day. I take the gummy bears flinstones vitamins. I just chew A LOT! I haven't had problems with getting them down. I tried liquid vitamins (gross) and the chewable (gross too...how do kids take these?). So far i take...nexium, multivitamin and medicine for my gallbladder, to prevent stones (this is the worst its huge!)

Yep, I'm on Previcid Solu Tabs for 2 months, to prevent ulcers while my pouch fully heals. They don't taste bad and they disolve in about 15 - 20 seconds. I Am Stronger Than Myself - Janice

I'm taking Prevacid Solutabs (and they are yummy, strawberry dissolvable oral tabs) and Reglan (which has some anti-nausea component to it). Was hoping to get off meds not add to them! Hoping it is temporary. Did get off my blood pressure pills though
