I had surgery on 7-11 at centennial. I have not lost a pound...i am eating all protein for all three meals. HELP. I don't know what to do. Breakfast - 1 boiled egg Lunch - 1 baked boneless, skinless chicken breast Supper - the same as lunch and only crystal light in between. I am swimming everyday for exercise but I am extremely fatigued. Any suggestions??

what kind of surgery did you have ? just wondering cause most of us are not allowed to eat anything but liquid for awhile after. If you had lap-band it may take awhile longer. I heard weight lose was slower with that. my new saying is when it is ready to come off it will. keep your head up and your eyes on the goal. amy

The water you drink (upto an advised 60-64 ounces daily) and get enough advised exercise it will work out for you. It sounds like you might be dehydrated. I was advised to have 2 meals a day-but I add 2 very small high protein snacks to it, because I feel so drained also. If I were you I would try more variety-have a yogurt here and there. Watch yourself about about nibbling here and there(I tested the roads alot, thinking I should be able to have anything I wanted, silly, but human) Your body may be adjusting itself from after surgery. Some even gain in hospital from all the IV fluids. Please call a experienced WLS nutrionist. I bet they might do more tests on you if this goes on. don't forget vitamins. Will be thinking of you, kristin

I had my surgery 7/12 and up to today I'm on liquid protein and soup. Starting today I can add pureed foods such as refried beans. I have about 58-50g of protein a day on average. Make sure you are getting protein in. Do you use protein drinks? Heidi

I always do my 60 grams of protein. I don't want my hair to fall out. I had my surgery on 7-11. Have you lost much weight? I still haven't lost. Brenda

Hi Brenda, I had surgery on 7/3 and I initially lost 19 pounds in the first week and a half. I have not lost any weight for over 2 weeks. I am also on regular consistency proteins, no snacks. I know it is very frustrating. But eventually our bodies have to lose- they have no choice. Hang in there.

Thanks for all the advice. I really do need it. Still no weight loss. I am frustrated! I cannot have yogart, beans or any of those things. I wish that I could. Only eggs, fat free chesse, fat free cottage cheese or chicken or turkey and that's it. This wednesday will be 3 weeks for me. Say a prayer!
