I'm from south Ft.Worth, 30 years old, mom of 2 children. My son is a November 04 toddler and my daughter is a November 06 baby. They are exactly 2 years and a week apart. I've been married for 7 years. I'm so excited about my July 30th surgery date. I am scheduled for the GBP at Baylor. We love going camping, out for walks and to the park. However, I'm slowly wearing down. I just can not imagine what life will be as an official "looser". I just want to share every second with my kiddos. I've always been a working mother until the 2nd baby was born. So I quit a 40 hr a week job for a 24 hr a day job and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!
Look forward to getting to know all of you more.
Hi, I'm Stephanie also 52 years old- what's the deal, are all us older women having a mid-life crisis?
Location: Dallas area
Family: married for 23 years, one daughter, age 20
Occupation: L&D nurse for 30 years

Goals: to be able to walk without pain in my knees and hips
I'm Sheila,
My surgery date is July 30th.
Live in Virginia Beach, VA.
Age: 51
Single with two great boys ages 19 and 21, both attending college.
I work in a hospital for a large group of radiologist as a radiologist assistant. A terrific
job that allows me to do procedures from barium studies to joint injections. I'm the
only one there so I'm my own boss. They are the ones paying for my insurance rider
so I can have my surgery. Yes, they are a great group of docs!
I love to read, sew, decorate and do crafty things when I have time.
I can't wait to walk a mile again without getting out of breath, dance for hours and shop
for regular clothes!
I am Esther.
Surgery dat is July 30.
Live in Northern NJ - only until kids are on there own and then getting the heck out of here
Age: 50 in September
Married 26 years to a great guy. Two wonderful kids - our daughter who is going to be 21 in October and graduating college next Spring. (hoping to be able to fit in a plane seat for that trip) -- and a son who will be 16 in December.
I am a free lance paralegal and work mostly with one real estate attorney.
My paperwork is being submitted to insurance this week and hopefully I will soon know if they will cover the surgery. Since our insurance is through my husband's business I was fortunate to be able to get a policy that covered WLS.
