Name: Jacqi Location: Lawrenceville, NJ Surgery type and date: RNY, July 19 Age: I'll be 45 on July 4, so I'll now get two birthdays in the month of July. Family: Divorced but currently raising my 20-year-old son with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/ developmental disabilities with my ex, who is still a good friend. My son is a sweetheart and the reason I want to be healthy in future. I want to be around for him as long as possible! Hobbies/Interests: Books, reading, news junkie, some stitchery crafts, TV, mysteries, history. I'm a librarian and archivist and love my job, too. What is one of your post-op goals?: Okay, this will probably sound lame, but this is something I really want just a few weeks after surgery. I want to be able to do Freshman Orientation in September without being out-of-breath or having my knees hurt. Last year, I actually had to ask other people to do the library tours (3 floors in 15 minutes!) because I just couldn't do it without being unable to walk, breathe and talk at the same time, and it was embarassing. I like meeting new students, too, and it would be great to not be so obviously "the fat librarian" this year when the new students come in. I can't wait until July is here!

Happy Birthday Jean! I'm Jessica. MY SURGERY IS SCHEDULED FOR JULY 12TH.....(I wanted 7/17/07 but Dr Monk only does LAP on Thursday's) I turned 29 on March 17th (St Patty's Day). I'm about 5'8", 300# and no kids...yet. I'm married since Nov 05 to a very supportave hubby, AKA Jim. I'm having WLS to get healthy and so we can start our family (18-24 months post-op). I LOVE to steal my niece whenever I can. She's only 2 and so cute and so much fun now. She adores her Uncle Jim (her ONLY father figure since her low life father is such a POS bum!) I LOVE sewing and crafts! I have a lot of unfinished projects because there's so much I want to do and so little time! I can't wait to make my own clothes in smaller sizes! I'm an ace at scrub tops! I wish I could draw and paint! My mom created a major bargain shopper out of me! I love flea markets and yard sales; music and lyrics! I am a visionary thinker(remember, I'm a PISCES).....I think outside of the box and can clearly see the final result of things before planning. My wedding was a BLAST and 1 1/2 yr later, people still talk about that day! (we had a renaissance theme (all handmade outfits), and every finishing detail was perfect!) I'm sometimes called anal because I LOVE to be organized (color coded and neat). I am a W*O*R*R*Y wart! I always think about EVERY simgle simple little detail and worry that I will let myself or others down. I am praised for being a hard worker and don't clown around...well, not that much. I also like to get my way, and usually do! I'm not sure if it's a PiSCES thing or if it comes from being the oldest (1 sister). Sorry if it's too long.....but now you now who I am!

Name: Amber Location: Richmond VA Age: 25 (for the 7th time) Family: My hubby of almost 8 years My 2 daughters, Skyler 7 and Emma 4 1/2 Preston, my old english/irish wolfhound monster ~ sweet but huge Gizzy, my lab/chow ~ has the same grumpy attitude that I have Rosie, my jack russell ~ the dog never sleeps...she keeps going and going..... Surgery Date: July 19th...less than a month! Hey Jacqi, we have the same date! Hobbies: Haven't had many since I broke my ankle about 3 years ago. I like to scrapbook when I have time, which is never. P.O. Dream: I had an embarrassing experience on a roller coster last year. I want to be able to hop on, not worry if I'm going to fit and just enjoy the ride. I would like to also not have my girls worry if mommy can keep up when we play. I want to have as much energy as they do. And lastly I want to feel sexy for my husband again.
