1. What types of food did you eat this week? turkey burger, no bun; Lean Cuisine meatloaf (yuck), salad with romaine, spinach, tomato, and sunflower seeds, bbq chicken breast with peas, blackened tilapia.
2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Walk Away the Pounds with a step, Walk and Jog DVD (I jogged for the first time in YEARS! It was fun!), treadmill.
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? two more pounds, to 211. Total loss is 93 pounds.
4. What was your biggest challenge? This is pms week, and snacking is always an issue for a day or two. Have not eaten any junk or sweets, just more of the healthy stuff on those days.
5. How is your skin? Are you have any issues with it being too loose? Stretch marks? etc? Skin....is an issue. Upper arms are fairly loose, and the skin on my thighs is a little dimply looking, even though I work them out like crazy! My tummy is definitely going to have to be tucked someday, too. I hope we'll be able to afford to do some work on me someday. The weird thing is my breasts (sorry if TMI...) are getting smaller, but not sagging a whole lot more than is typical for a 40 year old chick who has had kids. I expected them to be worse than this; I have gone from a full c to a regular b size.
*Fun bonus question:
You just won a 1000.00 shopping spree, where are you going to spend it? on what?
I would hope it would just be a Simon/Visa gift card at my mall, so I could shop for shoes at Aldo, clothes at several places, and a beautiful handbag at Dillards.

I challenge someone who hasn't done this, to do it this week! We value everyone's answers and we love to get food ideas!

Linda!!!!!!!!!
I am so jealous .. No, really!
I am 12 lbs away from 100 lbs loss since surgery. I am determined to lose those 12 lbs by my 9 month check up in April.
Way to go, girl. I love hearing these success stories. They definitely keep me motivated.

Topic: RE: What's your motivation?
That's a very good post, Jan. I am motivated just by reading it!
My motivation is my mom. My mom was overweight most of her adult life, though not as heavy as I have been. She, like her parents and her aunts, developed diabetes in her 40's. She, like her mom and her aunts, died too young, all alone at home, from a heart attack. The diabetes had so damaged her heart that it finally stopped. She was 62.
Well, I was 39 when I had surgery six months ago, and I was seeing the signs of metabolic syndrome, the precursor to diabetes. I knew what was going to happen to me. I had to do something drastic, as I have tried many, many other times to get weight off and KEEP it off. I couldn't do it alone anymore. This surgery has been such a blessing to me so far...93 pounds are off of my body, and with about 60 more pounds lost, I am considered "low risk" for developing diabetes. That is a great motivation for me.
Can't wait to read more!
