What a great WOW moment Lynette!! At my 6 month check-up my Dr and I were talking and it turns out she weighs one more pound than I had lost then, I said to her - I used to carry you around all day long, and I couldn't set you down even if I wanted too! She thought that was a great example of how much weight I had lost. Glad to heat your doing so well! Jan

Hi Shann.... I had my lap Rny on 7/10/ 06 . At my consultation I was 205lbs ( 5'0" ) but gained an additional 10 lbs during the few weeks before my pre op diet...(too much last supper eating...). On surgery morning I was down to 205lbs and wearing a very tight size 20 pants and xl tops. Presently I am at 145.6lbs (- 69.4lbs) and lost a total of 42.5 inches and wearing a size 12 P pants and med tops. Marleen

I wanted to write and share a "wow" moment with everyone. I was at one of my daughters basketball games and was talking to my brother-in-law who brought my niece (shes just turned 9 years old) to watch the game. He asked how much I had lost and out of no ware I asked my niece how much she weighed (kids love to be asked this question, unlike most adults ) and she said 95 lbs. I said that I had "lost" almost her. Which when I thought about it was amazing, to think that I would have to pick her up and carry her everywere would of been what it was like 8 months ago was a BIG "WOW" moment for me. Congratulation to us all for losing a "whole" person!!! Next time you feel down and are on a stall maybe just rememer how far we have already come and remember were we stared, cariing around 9-12 year olds on our bodies everyday!!!!! AMAZING!!! Take care and Keep up the GREAT work everyone!!!! Lynette

I had surgery on July 12th Im 8 months out now and down from a size 32 to a size 18- 20. My wt was 384 on the day of my surgery and Im not at 244. I now wt less than my husband...for the first time since I met him. I would give anything to be at a size 14 now. Just yesterday I got 6 pairs of size 18 jeans from Lane Bryant. Looking forward to wearing them comfortably. Some fit fine and some are just a tad bit to tight. Guess now I'll be looking for 16s in a month or two. Im just hoping I can be a 14 by the time I hit my one yr anniversery. My husband and I are hiking more now and taking walks. I didnt exercise much before with winter and all. Im hoping I can keep all the exercise going this spring. I have no idea how many inches Ive lost. I didnt take them when I started...but I do try and take them each month now so I do know how much Im loosing from month to month

We have very similar stories. I started this journey at 300 and I'm sitting at 205 right now. I've been teeter tottering for the last few months and driving myself crazy. Hopefully things will start going in the right direction soon. We do a Friday Five here every week to keep each other on track. I've lost a lot of inches and that keeps me sane! I'm wearing a 16 in women's jeans and a 14 in tops. I'm even wearing 17/19 in juniors, I never thought i could say that! It's amazing and well worth every bit of emotion! Welcome, Amber
