Amber- Certainly not offended here....totally agree. 1. What types of food did you eat this week? Interesting week for me....Bean burrito, salads, turkey meatballs, mashed sweet potatoes, cheese and crackers (my downfall!), Special K Protein Plus...and I just rediscovered Chai Tea...so yummy but I know I can't have them too often. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Exercise is still on the back burner from my gallbladder surgery....so not much. 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? Hmmm....havent' weighed since April 10th...need to do that. It's around 120 total though. 4. What was your biggest challenge? Normally exercise, but this week has been very stressful and I'm struggling with those old "food for comfort" feelings....can't I just have a scoop of Ben and Jerry's please?! I know....have a carrot. 5. What do you use as inspiration to keep working hard towards your goals? I'm pretty driven by the goal itself. I also don't like failing...I use the fact that I know lots of people are watching....wondering if I'll succeed. Peer pressure I suppose! *Fun bonus question: When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a stay at home mommy! So girly huh!? I suppose someday that dream could still come true, although it's not likely.

In honor of the victims at Virginia Tech, I'd like to take a moment to say a little prayer and/or send good thoughts to their family and friends. I hope I don't offend anyone reading this, that's far from my intentions. This isn't about religion its about empathy. Now, on with the weekly business. 1. What types of food did you eat this week? 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 4. What was your biggest challenge? 5. What do you use as inspiration to keep working hard towards your goals? *Fun bonus question: When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Thanks so much for doing this, Jan! You're a big help. I had a great trip but I brought home a nasty bug and have been pretty sick this week, hopefully it will get better soon! 1. What types of food did you eat this week? Yogurt, String Cheese, Cottage Cheese, SF Jello, Beef Jerky, Corn, Turkey Dog, Chicken, Coffee, Green Beans, Health Smart SF Fudge Bars, Peanut Butter, celery, etc. Strictly protein and low carb. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? None unless you counting walking and driving. Oh wait, I think I went to the gym last Monday. 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 2 pounds, 99 total, eeek. 4. What was your biggest challenge? Not being able to exercise because I was on vacation. 5. How many sizes have you dropped so far? I went from 24/26 in jeans to 16. Tops from 22/24 to Large in Ladies. or 14/16 in Juniors. From 10.5 to 6.5 on my ring finger. That's exciting. Not sure of all my stats at the moment, need to measure when I get home. *Fun bonus question: What's you best WOW moment since surgery? I guess being able to try on clothes thinking there is no way in YOU KNOW WHERE that I'll be able to wear them yet and they fit or are too big. That's just insane. I just saw my brother for the first time and he flipped out. He called me skinny. That's insane too.

Topic: New here
Hey y'all. I am not totally new to OH, but I am new to this forum. I was banded on July 10th, 2006 in Monterrey, MX by Dr. Sanchez. My highest weight ever was 372, and my surgery weight was 314. My current weight is 228.6. My current goal set is to be 199 by my one year bandiversary. I have a 10cc Vanguard Lap-Band, and I am currently filled to 8cc's. I currently eat approx 900-1200 cals a day, and I get about 90-120 grams of protein a day. I feel really good! I have tons of energy, and I work out at least an hour 5 times a week. I go in tomorrow to speak with a plastic surgeon about my apron. My skin is not shrinking at all, and I have a lot of complications now from it being so large. I cannot workout properly, and I also have a lot of skin issues. I am really excited, as the surgery is going to be completely covered by insurance. So that is my story. Add me as a friend if you want to keep up with me. I am slowly building the rest of my profile. LOL There is a lot to fill in.

Topic: It broke
i finally broke my 2 month platue (can't spell today) Lost 2 pounds over the weekend, so it's 119 down. Side note - was in my sister's wedding this weekend I had 4 dress fittings and the dress was still to big. We had to use hem tape to keep the top up during the wedding but by the reception I couldn't sit down cuz the top would droop and show off my bra.

Topic: RE: Gas pains ? (warning)
H Maryellen, I'm doing OK, ooking forward to geting these darn staples out tomorrow! This wasn't your normal type gas pains, it was more pressure, and I at first thought it was due to some chili I ate or too much sugar free desserts at Easter. It was on and off for two full days, then bam, it never went away and in the middle of the night I just knew something was wrong. I'm very tired, hubby is doing everything and being good as gold about it. We packed today and we leave Wed. I'm looking forward to it of course, but I know after surgery how is it is to get tired fast. Jan
