Topic: 10 MONTH ANNIVERSERY
I updated my profile. I started out at 394 and today I was down to 227. I dont even recognize the body I see in the mirror. I noticed today my back in a mirror and I dont remember the last time I could see my spine...had to be when I was in college about 20 yrs ago. Im down just over 165 lbs and I lost 8 inches on my measurements just since last month. The last 2 weeks Ive been very fearful. Ive been wanting to eat all the time. I guess my body just needed the food to burn off these fat cells. Ive been exercising more too so maybe that been part of why my body was wanting more calories...its just a thin line to walk...dont want old bad habits creaping back in. I want to thank all of you for your support. Even if I dont have much to say some weeks Im usually checking the board every week several times.

1. What types of food did you eat this week? Salad, chili, grapes, greek yogurt, blackberries, low carb pizza, cheese 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Walked, went to the gym 3. How much weight did you lose? 2 pounds Total loss? 86 pounds 4. What was your biggest challenge? Not getting enough exercise. 5. Have you had any WOW moments lately? Yes. I bought size 12 pants, plus I ran into several people I hadn't seen in a long time who corralled me and asked how I lost so much weight. I was happy to share . One of the pieces of info I gave them was this web site. *Fun bonus question: Since it is Mother's Day weekend, do you have any plans? If you have no children, do you plan on having any? I believe most doctor's say to wait 18 months after surgery, what do you think? I was hoping to stay home and catch up on some housework and yard work. I do have children, but they are adults and live in other states.

Maria- According to a BMI Calculator, 168/169 would put you into the "normal" category. That seems pretty light...I'm with Amber...going for healthy...your body will surely tell you (and us!) when it's done and ready to stop. My surgeon's goal for me is 142...but I'm only 5'6....and that sounds tiny to me, still!! Congrats on your progress so far! Christina S
