Topic: How are you eating? :-(
Hey everyone! I haven't written in a while. I usually just read the posts. However, I have a problem. I still have about 30 lbs to lose to get to my goal, but haven't lost anything in months. As a matter of fact, I'm struggling to keep the needle on the scale from going up. I know that I don't eat the way I should and I'm trying to get back on track. A friend of mine who had the surgery about 5 months ago, has lost over 90 lbs. She's on the verge of being too thin! She said she is still eating about every 2 hours. She said it has worked for her, so that's what she's going to stick to. I've been eating the normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and then grazing in between. How are you losing the weight? Are you eating small amounts every 2-3 hours, or are you doing the 3 meals and a couple of small snacks? Any suggestions on how to get back on track would be appreciated. I really wanna make this work!
Thanks in advance!
Deanna

I know what you mean, when I look at old pictures, then I can recognize it. Otherwise I see myself about 60 pounds ago. Maybe when I lose this last 20, I'll see at least 100 pounds gone. Its all in time, I guess. I think its normal for everyone to go through it. When people comment, I make it my policy to just say Thank You no matter what. They won't understand why we don't see us as they do.
Let us know how you are doing, that's what we are here for!

Ooopsie, I'd meant to post on my actual surgiversary date 7/25, though documented it and inadvertently forgot to post. Drum roll please........on 7/25 my total pounds lost was 105, from 239 to 134. Down from size 22W pants 2X tops to current 8 Petite pants, and Small and XS tops from the Jrs dept! What a year it's been for sure! Actually feeling tiny, walking down the dock onto the watercraft.... PRICELESS!!
Group total: 2,287 lbs gone forever!!! Best wishes to each of you! Hugs, Patti (and am working on my brand new computer to get new pics and avatar loaded hopefully very soon!

Yep. I'm going through the same thing. People keep telling me I'm small, but I don't feel small. I'm struggling with not knowing what I look like. Someone gave me some advice that helped, though I've only done it once. Ask somsone you trust to point out someone else that is your size and shape. It helped me to see it on someone else.

I am going through the same thing. I still see myself as fat. I also am filled with fear that I will go back to really being that fat girl again. I tell myself it is just a lie and keep moving. I don't have any magic tricks to get over this, just don't allow your mind to dwell there or else you will begin to sabotage yourself and it will become a self fullfilling prophecy. Whenever you think " I'm fat" immediately speak out loud that the amount of weight you have lost. Eventually, hopefully....your mind will catch up.
