Topic: RE: July Surgery babies- how much do you eat?
I am doing okay with the food. No eggs, I am stay with Turkey meatballs with some FF gravy and mash potatoes for dinner. I found this yogurt Dannon Fit & Trim, Carb and Sugar Control Vanilla that I really like. I am using it to take my medications at breakfast and lunch. I was doing alot of crakers and tuna or shrimp salad. I bought some canned meats so far so good. Yes I know sometimes it just doesn't seem like it is worth fixing something for me, I eat so little.

I can eat 1 and 1/2 to 2 oz. of food. I still get full pretty fast. They said I could eat more, but not to force it since I am getting protein in.....I noticed if I don't drink as much I can hold more food, but since I was getting a little dehydrated (even though I was getting in 56 - 64 oz. of liquid) that's not an option right now....chicken salad is truly my best friend....I love it and it goes down great....I also eat refried beans with cheese and taco sauce from Taco Bell....someone on here suggested it and it is really good (I did not eat them before surgery).....I can also eat stewed chicken, broiled fish, tuna fish salad, chili beans minus most of the mea****ermelon, peas, green beans, squash (as long as it's well cooked), cheese, and cream of wheat.......by the time I chew my food to death it's enough to make me not even want to eat it, but if I don't chew enough I end up Moniqe D.

Hi Stephanie, nice to meet a one-time neighbor. I've been in the Triangle for almost ten years now, but I grew up in Virginia. I had my surgery done in Pinehurst...not too bad a drive, and very happy with my surgeon. I want that 100+++ dropped in a month, too!!

Topic: July 17th date
Hey everyone, I am wondering everyone who had surgery on July 17th how much weight have you lost? I started out my journey at 254. The day of surgery I was 246. I am now down to 216. How is everyone else doing? I was hoping to lose a little more then this but I'll take it. I have to stay off the scale I have become a scale slave. Hope you are all doing wonderful. Hugs, Di

Hey there Lisa, I had surgery on July 17th! Right now I can eat a half cup of cottage cheese, or a yogurt if I go slow. It takes some time but I do fini**** I can also munch on string cheese. Other foods I can hardly eat any so it doesn't seem to pay to even bother. I still use my protein shakes for protein. I drink milk too. But I do have some food during the day. I can't eat much meat. It is too heavy. I don't waste my time with veggies since there is no protein why bother. Fruit doesn't go well either if it is fresh. Canned peaches go good with the cottage cheese though I can eat 2 slivers with my cottage cheese. Don't try to eat too much! Good luck, Di

I'm on my "pureed foods" phase and I've already put in a call to my NUT, but just curious as to what my other July friends are doing. I've been aiming at 4oz of actual food per meal- and since I can't ever seem to get that much down I usually end up using protein supplements to hit my 70-80g protein mark. How much actual food do you eat?

Rockin Roll is pretty good, the original flavor taste like a payday candy bar ... not that that is such a good thing! I can't eat more than a forth at once. Janet

Dear Jezia- You know, you're right...the scale has NEVER been my friend...I know we're not supposed to weigh ourselves but once a week...I admit that I do weigh alot more than that...in my head I know that the weight loss will slow down and the exercize will build muscle which weighs more than fat...I know this in my head-my heart wants to SEE the numbers go down! Let's stay in touch...be well Stephanie
