I do know what you mean.....I make myself eat something at least 3 times a day. However, at my last appt. my surgeon mentioned I should try to eat 2 snack as well.....no way! It would make me sick! My dietician said I didn't really have to worry about the snacks much since I am getting in all my protein with 2 drinks a day. He had also told me that I could increase my food and no longer had to measure, just stop when I feel satisfied. I still measure some things and most of the time I only eat about 1 1/2 to 2 oz. per meal. I don't want to make myself sick so when I start to fill even a little full I quit. I can eat more if I have watery soups like tomato and french onion and I think that is because they go down more like liquids......so when I feel like maybe I am not eating enough I will usually have soup. I had labs done and I am having to take an iron pill, vitamin D, and potassium, in addition to a multi-vitamin and calcium. Can you consume a decent amount of soup? Monique D.

I have no interest in eating, and because of the stricture I developed I think that made things worse. Last night I had some salmon which I've had before with no problems, but this time it made me so sick! I told my husband this was sure a very hard way to lose weight! It may be coming off easy, but I hate getting sick. I know things will get better, and it's just a matter of figuring out what agrees with me and what doesn't. I must say I do force myself to eat at least three times a day. Turkey jerkey has been a good source of protein for me, and it stays down! Janet

A few years back I was having periods from hell ... I'd bled for weeks and it would be big chunks that looked like liver (sorry TMI). My OB GYN did a DNC and took a scope and looked to see if he couls find something. Turns out I had a poylop and once he removed it I never had another problem. I had regular periods that lasted at the most 3 days. Since surgery I had one period that lasted a day ... just a few days after surgery, and I haven't had one since ... in fact Friday when I went in to have my endoscopy, they made me take a pregnacy test ... not pregnant! I do have an OB GYN appointment this month on the 18th. Janet

I didn't get to eat until dinner because I was back in the hospital for another endoscopy! My wonderful hubby went and got me a large ice tea from Starbucks before we left the hospital ... all I could think about was drinking all day long, and an ice tea was what I was craving! I had some chicken noodle soup for dinner. Janet

Since my doctor doesn't like us eating cereal of anykind, and I only get white carbs 3 times a week, I've been very creative. I've also been told this week no more protein drinks! I've never in my life been an egg fan, but I do eat them becasue I know they are a good sorce of protein. I make a yummy SF egg custard, a recipe I got from Susan Marie's Before and After book. I make a big bowl and we always have it on hand (the rest of the family love it and have no clue it's SF). I have yogurt, protein bars, a ham and cheese roll-up (1 slice ham rolled around a piece of cheese), egg scrambles - I chop up bell peppers, onions, ham, tomato, mushrooms, and add an egg and some shredded cheese. I'll make egg salad and eat it by itself too. Sometimes I'll have a glass of nonfat milk with SF chocolate syrup. Fruit too, I try to add a few bites of watermelon, cantalope, grapes, or whatever else we have on hand. Hope that helps. Janet

Is there anyone else that feels like you are just NOT eating? I do good to get a yogurt down a day. And sometimes that is all I eat in a day. I do good with water and fluids because I am thirsty all the time. I bought Isopure at GNC yesterday and I am trying that today. I am down 50 lbs, but not sure I am doing it the healthy way. Had labs drawn last Wed. Waiting to hear about them. Eating is just so hard for me right now.

I do different flavors of yogurt with a lil bit of granola. In a week I can add cold cereals...I cant wait...think I'll start with a kashi cereal.

I am having the same problem. Before surgery I had not had a period in at least 3 years (I stoped keeping track) and a week and a half after surgery, I got a period and it has been on and off ever since. I called my gyno and she said not to worry, that this is normal, my body is trying to adjust and my hormones are outta whack right now. So I'm just letting it go, I'm pretty confident that my body will regulate itself soon.
