1. What types of food did you eat this week?
Carb controlled yogurt, baked potato, my new famous Pigs in a blanket (made with fat free turkey dogs, low sugar BBQ, RF Sharp Cheddar, and RF Cresent Rolls - "normies" loved them) salads, celery w/ RF peanut butter. grilled tuna steak, grilled catfish, and grilled chicken.
2. What types of exercise did you do this week?
Walking and playing Volleyball at practice.
3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss?
-2 lbs. Total: 40 pounds down.
4. What was your biggest challenge?
Not getting enough exercise. I need to do it more.
5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op?
There will come a time when you will stop losing weight (around 3 weeks Post-OP) don't get discouraged, it will happen again!
*Fun bonus question:
What is your favorite "driving" song?
Running Down A Dream by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. I usually end up speeding though. The greatest hits CD is great to listen to on road trips!

Topic: protein shakes
I have tryed several different protien shakes and have found some very hard to drink.
Currently I'm using Fit365 and I just love it. I mix it with 4 oz. of water, 2 oz. decaf coffee, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 of a banana and ice and blend well. It is wonderful. It comes in organic cocoa and vanilla. No artificial sweeteners. 21 grams of protein. Check out their web site @ fit365.com I had a problem placing my order on line yesterday and called them and they handled the problem promtly and today I checked and my order is due for shippment today.
Topic: RE: 2months today!!!
Hi, My surgery date was 7/6. I started at 275 and am down to 225 as of yesterday. Great job on your weight loss.
Topic: RE: 2months today!!!
Hi Jennifer,
Can you believe in two months you've lost that much weight?!? Great job!!! I had RNY on July 6th and started at 332 - I'm 5'9". I'm down 53 lbs so far!
I did some weight lifting for about 2 months before my surgery and I think the extra muscle has really helped me drop the pounds. I just started back today and was really surprised how weak I felt.
It's great having all that weight gone, it's just easier to walk around now and I feel so much more comfortable in my clothes.
Keep posting your progress - it's nice to read how everyone is doing - it reminds me that I'm not alone in this struggle!!
Take care,
Sue
Topic: RE: Second and hopefully last endoscopy is done!
My surgery was 7-17 and my first endosopy was 8-18. I was able to eat but within 5mins to and hour after eating what little made it down wanted back up.
The first endoscopy made me feel 100% better, and I was thrilled. The second one two weeks later was to check to see if they need to dialate it more, which they did a tiny bit. It wore me out, I think anethesia 3 times in less than 7 weeks was very hard on my body.

Topic: 2months today!!!
O.k. so I'm at exactly 2 months today and I was wondering how those who were close to my date were doing. I'm 5'2" and currently at 199.5 lbs. That's 36.5 lbs lost. I know I've lost a ton of inches--will measure again tonite to get exact totals.
Anyone else have surgery on July 7th and have similar results at this point.
I know we're all different but I was just wondering how many are similar as well.
Topic: RE: Encouraging news my July Buds
I'm getting ready to do the same thing
Hopefully the ball will start rolling again after that!

Absolutely, glad to see its falling off again. My husband joked that I was deflating right in front of him! Have a great week, maybe we should start a weekly check-in?? That way we could keep up what people are eating, exercising, and losing!
