Topic: RE: Anyone else July 25th rebirth days??
Hi Linda! I'm a July 25ther too. I've been doing great. I can eat anything but sugar, white starch and really heavy foods. I haven't tried raw vegetables yet like carrots. I've lost about 42 pounds so far. I would definitely do it again...in a heartbeat. I love that most people are noticing now. Best, Nicole

1. What types of food did you eat this week? Popsicles, peanuts and nuts, spaghetti w/meatballs (no noodles), summer squash, grapes, tomatoe, cheeseburger, chicken, ham, cottage cheese and peaches, RF peanut butter, potatoe skins (no skin -just a few bacon pieces, cheese and a little bit of the potatoe), and oatmeal. Oh and Unjury shakes. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? deep water exercises, walking, swimming, treadmill, lifted weights and laundry (up and down the stairs!!) 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 53 pounds since 7/6 surgery date 4. What was your biggest challenge? Not drinking with a meal and not gulping the water down when I'm thirsty - taking only small drinks at a time. 5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? Forgive yourself and move forward when you slip up and stay off the scale except for the weekly or bi-weekly weigh ins. Also...while your weight numbers might not move, your inches will probably show the loss - don't just go by your weight. *Fun bonus question: What is your favorite "driving" song? Do you know I have no one, or even two, favorite(s)! I like a lot of different kinds of music. Thanks for starting this! Have a great weekend you all! Sue

1. What types of food did you eat this week? Protein, protein, and more protein. String cheese, power crunch bars, yogurt, chicken thigh, protein drinks, nuts, stuff like that in small amounts 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Walking 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? I don't know, I only weigh myself once a week and it is not on Friday 4. What was your biggest challenge? Getting enough exercise. I try to walk during my lunch hours but am finding that I still need my lunch time naps to get through the afternoon at work 5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? Be prepared for the "after surgery slump," when you've gone through all that scarey and painful stuff and you are still fat! *Fun bonus question: What is your favorite "driving" song? Hmmm . . . lately I've been listening to books on CD in the car instead of music

1. What types of food did you eat this week? yogurt, cereal with lactaid, FF bean and cheese tacos, protein shakes (4 a day) 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? walking - (I had to have a second surgery for a massive internal infection, so I can't exercise until the end of October) 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 2 lbs. total of 50lbs. 4. What was your biggest challenge? Still having pain and fatigue from the 2nd surgery, so walking is not pleasant. 5. What is one thing that you would tell a Pre-Op? Give yourself plenty of time after the surgery to realize that the choice you made was a good decision, because you will question yourself. *Fun bonus question: What is your favorite "driving" song? Summertime - Kenny Chesney...although it is time to pick a new one since summer is over.
